Is it where you have to defeat him before he destroys the airship? I remember using Lulu's Flare Fury, Wakka's Elemental Reels (which you should use Attack Reels if you have that, I never play Blitzball), Spare Change if you have Gil to spare, and yes, cast Hastega. Don't summon any Aeons until it gets weak and you think you can off him with Bahamaut's Mega Flare.

If you've already gone to the Omega Ruins, steal as many Doors To Tommorow from Ultima Weapon as you can. (Preferably 100, but meh.) If you have the PAL version, I've heard Ultima Weapon is alot harder or something, so I can't really help you there. In NTSC, he isn't all that difficult if you're close to mastering each characters' respective sections of the Sphere Grid.

Anyway, with those Doors to Tommorow, you can mix them and all your attacks will do at least 9,999 damage. Use Lulu's Fire Fury for a quick win.

Yeah! That was really good advice...although I don't know about the mix thing...
And I didn't know that you could steal those from Omega!!! How long would that take??? Did you sit there and steal 99 from him?

Steal...miss, Steal...miss, Steal...miss, Steal...Got 1 Door to Tomorrow!

Steal...miss, etc???

Man, that would take forever! Can you keep stealing items even after you've stolen a dozen? Isn't the percentage like 1/20 after that?

Ok too many questions. Sorry :)

Not Omega, Ultima Weapon.

Actually, I think you always steal in increments of 10, so it doesn't take too long. But it's been awhile.

Hydra

Bribe him. Sure, it takes a lot. But you get 99. :D

Oh yeah. lol, forgot. Either way.. Monster Arena capturing is the perfect way to get anything. :D Or learning the Al Bhed language, and mixing two of 99 Underdogs Secrets for massive damage.

Overdrive-wise. :D

Oh, and under leveling.

Murasame+Armor Break+Mental Break+Hastega+Doublecast Flare=Dead Sin. :p

how much hp did the Sin at the top of the airship have?

140,000.

i dont like the bosses in FFX...they are too underpowered for the capabilities in that game

Hydra

lol, only if you're overleveled. As SOON as I got the air ship, I cleared through the Omega Ruins. Then proceeded to beat the regular story easily. o_0

Hydra

Got a return sphere? Go back a little and take the other route and get Doublecast, using a level 3 and a level 4 lock. :D It combines with Ultima and Flare nicely. Especially against a Mental Breaked Sin.

Phoenix Flame
08-05-2006, 02:14 AM
Alternately, level up a little in the Zanarkand Dome or Omega ruins to get the necessary level 3/4 key spheres, and venture into other character's sections of the sphere grid to gain str and magic to easily defeat him. It should be noted though that this can take a while. I would suggest a combination of the two so that you are not under-powered when you're facing the monsters inside sin

Eh...Trio? :/ Why level when you can Trio? xD

Phoenix Flame

Uses items. End of story. I haven't mixed once in my game except for putting up mighty guard for a boss fight.

Zeromus_X

Well, it's quicker than leveling, though you'd probably level up stealing Doors to Tommorow from Ultima Weapon, or Underdog's Secrets from Al Bhed documents.

Al bhed documents???

The Al Bhed newsletter/magazine/things. That you learn Al Bhed from. If you get them all and master the Al Bhed language, you can talk to Rin and get a lot of Underdog's Secrets, which can be mixed to make Trio of 9,999. Or so I hear.

Meh...you mean Al-Bhed Primers. :) Yes, if you get all 26 of em you get 99 Underdog's Secrets. And now I understand that you mean that by mixing them you get the Trio of 9999 attacks... aha!

I thought mixing those made Sunburst, which did a vary of over 10,000 damage non elemental attacks?

Ah...checked gamefaqs - and, yes. The Underdogs Secret - along w/giving your weapon 2x overdrive, when you mix em you come up with Supernova. Thanks for the correction.

...you see, errors occur when you don't mix AT ALL during a game. :)

any one one a fast way to get power spheres?

Phoenix Flame
08-12-2006, 07:58 AM
The easiest place I've found to get power spheres is just south of Guadosalam before you get to the moonflow. Ochu, Basilik and bite bugs are abundand - they all drop power spheres - 2 for an overkill. Also there are treasure chests to steal from for mega-potions here. Once you power-up (go through most of the sphere grid) you can use a power distiller on Krottos and overkill him for 40.

Kat
08-17-2006, 06:11 PM
Question!
what the heck is the underdogs secret?
and what is a Krottos?

Hydra
08-18-2006, 12:25 PM
An easier way is to not send Belegmine in Remiem Temple when you defeat her Magus Sisters, when you have your own. For Yojimbo, you get 10 Power Spheres, and for The Magus Sisters, you get 12 Power Spheres after everytime you defeat them.

Kat
08-18-2006, 01:31 PM
oh man!! i already sent her! :(
but wat is a Underdog's Secret??

Hydra
08-18-2006, 09:42 PM
A mix/customize item.

Mix two of them and you get Sunburst.

man,i cant ever find any more of those stupid things,im missing like 4 or five and thats it

Hydra
08-21-2006, 11:52 AM
If you find them all in one game, there's a thing called..erm..correct me here.

"An Al Bhed Compiler".

Which let's you transport all the ones from your game onto another one. So you can obtain them easier. As for getting them, just follow a FAQ for FFX at Gamefaqs.

Phoenix Flame
08-21-2006, 03:27 PM
Al Bhed compilation sphere...close enough ;)

by the way, you can also get em for killing an original creation boss. It's either Catastrophe or Th'uban. (I'm not sure which.) They're not that important IMO. If you can kill Th'uban, you can get Trip OD weapons...much better than Double OD you get from the Underdog's secrets.

okay thanx ;)

Hydra

Overdrive to AP and Double Overdrive are great ways to get AP, especially with the Monster Arena. Double Overdrive weapons are easier to get than Triple Overdrive weapons. You don't even have to be leveled to do the Monster Arena AP trick either, so it's pretty good. =D

I never had a problem with any of the Sins battles, even the last one where he supposedly gets "harder" its Seymour that i hated to fight.

Yeah I know what your saying, I like to let some of the final bosses use their super attacks just cause I think they look cool and cause my party are so powerful.

I like to see ultimecia and grievers attack in ff8 when they join up and start hurlin planets at your party. 255 defence, no problem when a planet is hurtlin towards you. lol

As for sin I thought my ultra powerful party would survive his overdrive, boy was i wrong, heh heh.

My favourite way to beat any boss is yojimbo if you have a good relationship with him 1gil and WHACK ZANMATO=DEATH

Phoenix Flame
07-12-2007, 08:32 AM
Actually - if you pay him only 1 gil your relationship w/him decreases ;)

I think if you pay him anything > 1000 gil it slightly improves with each payment.

just mix 2 wings to discovery, u'll get 'trio of 9999' (rikku's mix overdrive), it makes all damage and healing that u do become 9999.
u can get 30 of them by opening chests in remiem temple chocobo race

Hmm I just used Anima's overdrive twice and he was dead lol...
and yea I found Seymour Flux (is that what its called?...the one on Mt Gagazet) harder then Sin

TherathxRikku

Sin simply takes a good Holy spam to kill him quickly, Holy should do 9999 once you get it, just cast Haste on Yuna and keep a powerful warrior out to help take out Sin, use Overdrives effectively and Sin shouldn't be a problem. ;P

As for the Seymour thing, agreed. :|
