because forum games can be used for post-whoring. forum games really don't serve as a valid post IMO and that's probably why

Yes, that's exactly why. There's something utterly wrong when a person who's been here a week already has hundreds of posts. Members have to contribute and participate to build up posts. We could've done this a long time ago, but people didn't 'post-whore' back then. Anyway, read the announcement, which was made to tell everyone about this anyway.
