And it's already got a sequel planned out for it on the DS.

(the following contains some spoilers... and credit goes to Final Fantasy: Worlds Apart, another fine FF Message board)

In the latest issue of the Japanese magazine, V-jump, Square-Enix announced that it had four new RPGs it was ready to show at the Tokyo Game Show, one of which is entitled FFXII: Revenant Wings for the Nintendo DS. The company originally trademarked the name “Revenant Wings” back in August, which led to much speculation among fans. Only today has the company confirmed that this name is the title for the direct sequel to Final Fantasy XII. The sequel will follow the adventures of Vaan and his girlfriend, Penelo, after the events of Final Fantasy XII

The other three games announced Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix, Heroes of Mana, and It’s a Wonderful World. More details about this new sequel and the other games will be revealed at the Tokyo Game Show on September, 22.

Heh, there goes my Halloween plans. Looking forward to both, since I haven't found a good DS game to play in a while. I'll let Okami occupy my time, until XII. Gamefaqs has a word on XIII already, as well as FFXII information.

Either way, I'm looking forward to Square coming through. Hopefully.

A little off topic, but I'm really hoping for KH2:FM to come to America. The Japanese didn't get the short end of the stick with KH2 this time, so there's a little chance we might get it. They're also considering porting Chain of Memories to the PS2.

Now, it's time to start saving some money. :)

Yeah, I love how they want to make another FM game even though Nomura explicitly stated that he had no plans of making one since the NA and PAL versions had the same features as the JP version. Go Nomura.

Quote from Wikipedia.com. It goes on to say that it will have English voice acting, so I assume it will be in NA as well as Japan.

1: Thanks for the information. ^_^ But English/Japanese voice acting was in the first one(it was switchable, or at least I think so. :O)

2: You can press the "Edit" button near the end of your post to edit the post to ask any more questions. :)

3: You need a signature making program(Photoshop) to MAKE one. Or just ask someone. :)

To put a picture in your signature, find a link to a picture. The picture link! IE, .jpg, .gif, .jpeg. Then press the Image button(Under color, the first one)

This could come up:

Put the image between it.

Example:

[IMG](IMAGE LINK)

That should work. Just make sure it's the correct size.

Can you believe what this game looks like compared to previous FF even on PS2? FF10 was revolutionary, and FF12 looks far superior even to that. Can you imagine what FF games are going to look like 2 and 3 years down the road in FF14 and 15 on the ps3? wow
You said it. I think I just creamed in my pants a little bit.

Edit: So who's gonna play for 30-40 hours nonstop to beat it when they first get it?

EGM Scores:

8.5, 9.5, 9.0 *nodnod* those are pretty good. It was game of the month for the month of october... and... the few problems they had were the vagueness of the Liscense Board and the effect that it had on the battle system. I can't wait though.

Ill have to check, i cant play it here, because i have really bad i-net. But on weekends I walk over to my Aunts and play it. Its an amazing game, i seriously couldn't stop playing. i didn't do much other than walk around and drool at the awesomeness of it.

And is there a way to change my server without one of those damn world passes? i can restart my character if need be... I only got to level 2. ;)

And i just back from EB Games with FFXII - collectors edition. They offered me a collectors edition strategy guide for 20% off. I couldn't resist, so i got that too. :p total of $88... :(

And wow, if you go into the configuration and max out everything, its absolutely gorgeous. And i love the battle system too, its an amazing game.

Yes, San d'Oria is the medieval-like castle. I had some difficulties partying, though... My English is a bit crappy (or should I say Mai Inglich iz a beet Krapi?)

And if you are not in a party, you can't have Teh Ultimate Fun

Agreed, teh ultimate fun cannot be achieved without partying.

And darn Hydra, your willing to wait until Christmas?!? I had to get it the first day it came out, i would have exploded if i didn't.

And by the way, its an amazing game, and i would highly recommend people to go for the collectors edition if it is available. Its far worth the $10.

It's worth it just for that featurette. :)

The CE strategy guide is also very nice, the guide itself is huge, and the artbook is pretty. I haven't even really looked at the guide yet though. xD I want to figure things out for myself this time. :p

I only had a little while to plug in to it today, I will probably play another hour or so again today. I'll have much more time during the weekend to spend...

Ya, the CE guide is very, very cool. The art in it is nice (as you stated), and its a nice sneak peak on whats gonna be in the game (looks to be centered around airships.)

Also, i hope on beating the game first, then using the guide to fill in all the cool nooks and crannies of the game that i missed. But thats not usually how it works out, because I'm an impatient person, and ill probably end up using the guide at least once the first time through if i get stuck. :o

I think many people will/do love XII. I think that there's a 1-3 hour or so learning curve to go through - perhaps more if you are used to the controls for previous installments of FF. But afterwards, the storyline gets going early-on and the graphics/gameplay is excellent. I'm having a lot of fun with the game and it's only like 25-30% though the storyline...
I guess that's FF for you though!

Wraith can be a biatch if you are not ready for it...I had to wait until I came back to Rabanastre to beat it....These hunts are really tough! I am currently trying to fight the Wyvern Lord and Cluckatrice, but the Lord kicks my butt and i am having trouble luring out the Cluckatrice.

The opening scene for this game is amazing! But i think they sort of sacrificed the graphics in the cut-scenes to leave room for a longer game.
