There are no PlayStation ROMs. When you play on a PSX emulator, you use the original game CDs or CD-images (copies of CDs that appear as one big CD-size file on your harddrive.. you can make CD-images of any CD though, so it's not the same as a ROM) that you either rip off your own game CD (legal, you can make personal copies) or download or get in any other way than ripping it yourself, which is illegal. Not sure what Shaggy's policy on it is, but asking for PSX CD-images (or ROMs) is against the ToS of any major forum I've ever been to.

But to make it short, yes, you can find PSX CD-images online and through file-sharing programs easily if you know where to look, but I'll leave it at that.

Get an emulator, put the game CD in the CD-ROM drive, and play (I've done it with some of my original PS1 games). It should work if you have the right plugins and settings (most of the time you don't even need specific plugins or settings, but it happens). You may get better compatibility by ripping the CD to a CD-image first and play using the image instead.. you need a program to make the image, but I've never used such a program so I can't help you with that.. I only know it's possible and not too difficult.

The only problem I've come across trying to play Tactics on an emu (I use ePSXe) is that it runs very fast. For a game like Tactics that's a good thing, because you can get battle done faster. I've never really tried any other games with ePSXe though.

It runs very fast? Try using frame limits.. if the auto thing doesn't seem to help, you can manually set the frame limit to get the game down to normal speed, if it's a problem.
