My gold chocobo is my best runner in the chocobo races

Blue was Azul and green was Verde, and black was Noir (since I figured the spanish for black didn't sound all that nice).

Yeah, i loved the chocobo breeding. It was my all time favorite mini game. And to think, they brought the concept back in Xi... amazing.

And yes i got the gold chocobo. =)

For a very, very long time, Chocobo breeding was my life. All I did was breed Chocobos until I finally got a gold one....

It took me 3 years. 3 YEARS.

And when I got one, and used the bugger to grab the KOTR summon...

It SOOOO wasn't worth it.

But...breeding was fun...for a while...If Square ever brings Chocobo breeding back in a future Final Fantasy, I just hope they make it less time consuming...and hard. XP

i got as far as a green chocobo.

i heard in a magazine they are bringing out ff 7 on ps3 and they said the golden chocobo would fly

Chocobo breeding aint that time consuming. If you are really lucky you can easily get a gold chocobo in a afternoon.

I'm usually boring and name them Hawk, Falcon, Eagle, etc.. Yeah, in the same game.. I tend to get a whole bunch just for fun. One time I even filled the whole stable with golds. It speeds up once you have 1 male and 1 female, as a Gold + Gold = Gold, at least with a Zeio nut (haven't really tried any other though).

well i havent before, but im thinking of starting final fantasy VII again and i will be aiming to breed a gold chocobo so i can get knights of the round everyone says that summon is the best and its so cool.

I've done it. Knights of the Round is really awesome, but it takes forever to level it up. But, as they say, the end justifies the means. Anywho, back on subject, it really isn't all that hard to breed a gold.

Depending on which version you own you can defeat the ruby weapon and go to kalm town and the dude in the far right house will sort you out a gold chocobo.. But its best to wait til the gold saucer reopens to try and get a gold one if you are gonna breed one.

i have 2 gold chocobo's...but i havnt played it in ages so i cant memba wat i named them. i bred 1 and got the other from beating ruby weapon...as soon as 1 of them is old enough, ill breed them and get another 1...but faster than both of the 1's i got now....MWAHAHAHA!!!!

It took me like..2-3 days to get the gold chocobo, only because I had to go to work. If it weren't for work, I would have had it in like a day or 2. It wasn't that hard, but it was pretty costly as far as greens go and what not.

you must breed the gold chocobo if you want the highest chance of beating all the weapons with mime its unstoppable!!!

I agree it makes life easier for fighting the weapons but I dont think you need a gold chocobo really.

I have defeated the weapons without any master materia sets from the kalm traveller and I'm guessing alot of some of the more hardcore players of ff on this forum have too. :)

I never used the kalm Traveller neither (I dont think :) ) just W-Summon, Mime, KOTR is the biggest and best combo

i love breading...but i cant member which nuts to use...i no u gota use a carob nut first...but i cant member which nut u use after that...is it the loco nut or sumfin?? i havnt dun this in a long time??

Zeio nuts are the final nuts you need so you can breed gold chocobos, You can get them if you mug them from the goblins on goblin island.
