Celestial Weapons and their Items

How many people here have gotten all the Celestial Weapons, as well each Crest and Sigil?

I loved X - so, naturally, I maxed it out! :p the only pain I had was getting the Sun Sigil (I think - it's the one you get for the chocobo race.) It takes a while to win.

Acually it took me two days just to get the sun sigil. That women was cheating all the way.

i have a short temper XD so doing the "butterfly game" wasn't really healthy for me.
and playing blitz in FFX was a pain to me so i didn't get Wakka's ball,and dodging 200 lighting bolts?!!!
XDDDD i have no patience,and not only that,but i couldn't even dodge 3 consecutive bolts alone so...i just gave up on even thinking about that one. ^_^;

First time I played this game I only got three of the celestial weapons fully powered up (same characters Kat mentioned) but I was really determined to get them all on my second time round and perservered and finally did it.

Yeah all you do is input the word godhand as the password on the airship and you will get a new location on the map to go to.

If you go back to the desert and find all the gatekeepers you can can go to the cactuar nation and get the sigil for rikkus weapon

I got all of them except Lulu's. The fact that the length of her physical attack animation makes her an annoying character to use against the optional uber bosses anyway, combined with the fact that I didn't much fancy dodging 200 lighting blots in a row, stopped me from bothering.

Yeah it can be annoying watching the animation for lulu's attacks though they are funny when you see them for the first time.

Auto haste auto ability to the rescue. Sorts the problem out

The only reason I did Lulu's was to say that I've collected everyone's celestial weapon. As many times as I've played the game through, I can honestly say I've only bothered with her weapon once.

It does suck trying to dodge 200 bolts of lightning, I equally found the catcher chocobo challenge for tidus's sigil just as annoying.

I have all the weapons (crests and sigils), without using a gameshark. I used the gameshark the next time just to see what would happen, and with Wakka, you get his final weapon, but none of the other weapons pop up so you dont get to see what they are and how they work.

I have spent hours trying to beat that accursed Chocobo race to no avail, how do you people do it????? The best time I got was 7.7, just 3 balloons shy!!! I will never try that again... high blood pressure will kill me.

I justed used a lot of Dark Matter to give Tidus the weaker, but basically the same thing, Excaliber. Same with Lulu, Soul of Mog. Kimahri is a different story, as I tried that butterfly thing 20 times, and could never get the last one in time. Working on getting the Dark Matter or him too. :)

Break HP Limit is all but useless, unless you have good Magic power to heal yourself.

Break MP Limit is pretty useful until you run out in a battle and you only have regular Ethers to use.

I suppose its useless for Yuna and Lulu if they have there Celestial Weapons. 1 MP spells + 9999 MP = 9999 spells in one battle. I don't think they'd need that much

Yup, and I never usually run out of MP, if I ever do, I just mix two Elixirs, I have a ton of them for some reason. lol

Sun Sigil is the one that's a pain to get. getting 0.0.00 time is tough when the birds are TRYING to hit you and only you.

I got the hang of dodging birds, but thats what was always getting me. The trainer has the controls of the gods, and I am stuck with a mentally ill chocobo.

To get a perfect score is a difference of 12, birds hitting you needs to be the lower, obviously. Ex.

Balloons: 14
Birds: 2

This guy, BizKit does many videos relating to Square games and he did a vid getting a perfect score on the Chocobo Race.

He handled it better than me, my score was 15 balloons and 3 birds.

Wow thats pretty impressive. I guess the only thing I can tell you is to dodge birds over getting balloons since getting hardly any hits is the key to the mini-game.

That would work, but you need 12 balloons at the minimum for a perfect score if you have good time.

I can't find Lulu's Celestial weapon. I'm looking for it underwater and i can't find it.

Swim around the outer rim and the camera should change angles eventually and you'll see a circular formation (where Geosgaeno appeared from) swim down and press X till the "use Celestial Mirror" pops up. It'll be there.

Try it, preferably with the no encounters ability so you don't have to worry about the timing coming out of a battle - but you should have little difficulty in a dim/dark room and with steady thumbs. =3 Let me know how it goes.

I know the best area for it. A strike happen, about 3 secs later another happens, then about...7 secs later another happens, then 3 sec etc...

I go to where one of the cactuar stones is so i dont have to worry about moving or anything, just dodging, i just cant be half assed sitting there and doing it lol.

Tried the other night actually and got to about 20 3 times...lol :(

Well, that's honestly the best way to do it IMO. ESPECIALLY if you have a No Encounters equip on. I think you can steal the items for it if you have most/all of the Monster Arena enemies opened up too. Good luck.

I have most of them...just got Omega Ruins, inside sin and the sunken cave to go and then im complete of that stuff.

And yeah, i could sit down and do it, but i'm too nervous with my thumb and my eyes...i'd have to sit there a while until that feeling went away before i could give it a real good go and complete it....but i cant be bothered at this time to do it haha

Honestly, you can make a better weapon for her, don't remember what all it had on it, but I don't remember it being worth it. :/

Good luck with that, I recently completed all the main grids, now I'm using my Strength and Magic Spheres that I had neglected to use. lol Once you complete Rikku's grid, I'd suggest to making a better weapon for her, Gillionaire and Double AP prove a little useless at that point.

I'd suggest the guidebook. It has a list of all the items, what fiend drops it and how much gil you have to bribe for some of them.

Some bribe costs are ridiculous. Some items cost no less than 1,000,000 gil to get, and you only get two of them when you need 30.

I didnt find it too bad, i always got aroud the 2-3 sec mark, couldnt quite get it under 0 secs, but then i did and i was happy and im never doing it again :)
