So far, it's still a rumor. But on Crisis Core, the tech demo plays again, with To Be Continued. Maybe Square likes screwing with it's fans. I don't know. ;]

they have stated that they might make a PS3 FF7. but they need to finish FF 13 and the next Kingdom hearts game then get the original FF7 staff together. so it will be a while for a remake.

Their still selling well so there's still milking to be done. Even Advent children Complete - the most obvious thing just done for money ever - sold very well.
Expect more FFVII milking to be sure. Heck I've even heard they were already hinting at the next all new FFVII game.

You 'n' me both, I used to love FFVII but now I feel kinda sick of it. Even if they did announce a remake now I don't think I would trust them to get it right since I'm betting they would squeeze as much pointless fan service in as they could fit in ><

They're at least allowing downloads of the original VII onto the PSP and PS3, no graphic enhances or anything, it's the same old PS graphics and the same all round game. I'm not complaining, graphics never mattered to me, I still play Secret of Mana today. :D

But whether or not they actually fully remake the game or not is a mystery. They've released a trailer for it, so maybe they will, maybe they won't. I find it best when in the gaming business, not to get your hopes too high, that's what happened to me with XII, and I honestly tried to play it, but the battle system(ironically what I was most excited about) turned out to be too hard for me.

So, just be prepared for the worst if Square has to ditch the project. T-T

Well like someone said in a previous post, if they do make it, then it probably wont be as good as the original.

And yea i don't really care if games have good graphics (although it looks cool). I just like them for there great storyline and play. I still play SNES (I did have a NES but we got rid of it) games today cos they had great games on them.

Most games made today aren't as good as they were ages ago because all the work is being put into the graphics.

I couldn't play Halo 2 or 3, Halo I was a god at, but after that, I just couldn't kill ANYTHING! T-T Everytime my friends and I get together to play Halo 3, I'm always on the Most Killed and No Kill lists...

The pistol on Halo 1 was uber. It owned everything and everyone. Then it just became crap after Halo 2. But I hear the pistol in Halo: Reach, is going to be like Halo 1's pistol. We'll just have to wait and see.

I was gonna get one for KH3, but my salary won't allow me for some time. I get about 10 bucks of spending money a month. The rest of it is for food and whatnot.

Well thats if they make a KH3. So far they've made KH1, KH2, KH: Chain of Memories, KH: Birth Before Sleep, KH: 365/2 Days and the Final Mixes for them.

They probably will make one though.

Well I'm gonna guess the Destiny Islands would be a world you play in. Mickey kept in contact with them after KHII so there musn't be any darkness or whatever blocking the worlds from each other.

i think, if they did remake VII, they should keep it EXACTLY the same, jus better graphics....sorry but since enix merged with them, FF has gone downwards....they focus on graphics too much...the charcter in X were ok, but nowhere near as good as in the PSX games....and XII....well that game was just crap...only the graphics were good, and thats it....no character build up, story was ok at best, battle system was crap...

I agree with you clief. Just give it better graphics and its done. No need for a story change or anything. Leave the world map as it was but with better graphics.

Actually I wish all FF's had world maps. It's just fun flying an airship around and stuff.
