Yeah, so I'm only leaving this up for a short time since I don't like having my pictures on the internet very much. Ok, so let me start with the excuses.
1. It's indoor with a flash, so of course I look bad. Plus no makeup.
2. I'm not actually as fat as I look in this picture. It's a funny angle. The person who calls me fat gets shot. (My friend's excuse is that the clothes just don't compliment my curves :P. Don't you just love guy friends? )
3. Funny angle. May I repeat. I'm not actulaly that fat/weirdly proportioned.

Ok excuses are done!

Here's my Da Qiao costume for halloween (halloween! Cosplayers scare me). It's red and blue silk (the blue silk being bought for only 2.99! Amazing hm?). My grandmother, mother and I made it together (though I admit I did the least work...mostly because I'm not so good a sewer). Took three days, not straight working.

People always think they look bad on their own pictures, it's like a law of nature.. you don't look bad at all, and I didn't think you were fat either, that thought never even crossed my mind so I found it odd you would even want to point out that you're not.

And nice costume, I like it :) You're missing the thing on the head tho, but was that on purpose?

I admire the courage of cosplayers. That, and the skill. How did you get the materials? Also, like he said, most people don't like their own picture. The same is true with me. But I look plenty worse than you, trust me.

Thanks for the feedback so far ^^. I'm glad you guys (or at least one) don't think I'm fat!

1. Maybe you admire cosplayers...but they scare me. Especially when they're in character. I went to a concert once and there was a convention next door and these weirdo guys in big hair were talking to me all tough and in character and it was aggravating.

2. I got the red silk in my mom's drawer. It's made of leftover lining for a nice dress she had (surprisingly the LINING is the nicest material I've ever worn!).
I got the blue silk from a Salvation Army. The gold piping is from Wal Mart, and the stockings are from my dance recital. I had gold jewelled shoes too that I forgot to put on for the picture. I bought them in the U.S. somewhere...Marshalls I think it's called. Similar to Winners.

Michigan has the most overweight people in the country, and after living here I don't know how anyone could think you're fat. BTW, not trying to sound stupid but who's Da Qiao?

Nice work! I don't have that kind of motivation. You must be a hardworking person. That, and maybe also very lucky. Also, the people who act in character are just odd, it's not just cosplayers. If I were a cosplayer (I don't have the money, time, creativity, etc.), I probably couldn't act in character if I wanted to, which I don't.

She's a character from the Dynasty Warriors series. Based on history, they made a (I think) partially fictional story out of it, and it became a video game. Made by KOEI.
