Squall is a sociopath and quite emo...

Seifer is an excuse of a villain, and looks to much like Eminem..

Still....

I'ld rather choose for Seifer, 'cause at the end, he looks quite happy when fishing. :p

I must admit, Seifer is cool...his gestures, styles (both fighting styles and appearence) and even his rebellious attitude makes him cool. However, i must choose squall.

I think the game would have been a bit more interesting though if seifer was part of the party for the entire game, and actually fought alongside you instead of being a brainwashed puppet.

I totally wished for that too! When I first played the game (and was at like, the first Laguna sequence), I kept hoping that Laguna, Seifer, Ward, Kiros, and (later on) Edea would all join you for the final battle. But they didn't. :P That would've been awesome.

I also wish that they would have had a thing between laguna and squall, in which squall finds out that laguna is his father, and raine was his mother. It would have been interesting to see squall's reaction.

I dont' know what this 'emo-hate' fad is, but we can cool it down a bit. I don't honestly know what is supposed to be 'emo' or not, but people have a right to be that way if they want to.

Anyway, I voted Squall. But Seifer's limit breaks look more badass.

We were not hating on emo people...

Some people just tend to think that squall is over emotional and we were all just expressing our opinions on the subject. I don't know about the others, but i was not hating.

I think i would have to pick Seifer although Squall is awesome too. I just think Seifer has a better look and cooler looking gestures. I just don't care for his attitude during the SeeD field exam and he is always picking on Zell.

It was always fun to beat the crap out of Seifer with Zell though. I would just use defensive or healing magic with my other two party members and let only Zell attack him.

I did like the way it was. I mean, fighting against Seifer and so on. And I know some of you didn't, but I loved the way in which the roles of the character are compared with the tale 'The Knight and the Sorceress' (I hope this is the right translation). XD

I suppose there is a gameshark code somewhere out there that could have him rejoining your party.

It wouldnt bug the game up too much as you controlled seifer originally and he had his limit breaks too, plus all abilities and spells are learned through gfs not characters.

I think every character has a trigger and even the monsters (it's probably called critical hit if I remember correctly), I recall being able to time it well for the gunblades (Squall and Seifer's) and the machine gun, the rest is much harder and sometimes the blow occurs without having to push the trigger button.

Please correct me if my memory is failing me.
