I don't think there is another thread like this, but if there is merge them.
I have only found about ten series of which I could actually read without thinking what a waste. They are...
1. The Lord of the Rings! I've read the first one 7 times, the second one 8 times, the third one 5 times, Lost Lore of Middle Earth once, and the Hobbit 11 times. If you haven't read any of these try one.
2. Harry Potter series.
3. Artemis Fowl series.
4. Eragon series.
5. Bartemius series.
6. Ink Heart series.
7. Twenty One Ballons.
8. Theif Lord.
9. Airborn.

What are your favorite books?

I'm currently reading Stephen King's "The Dark Tower" series. i've only read the first four, (which was really good, even if 93% of the book was an explanatory flashback) and i need to get five through seven.

i also thought of buying the whole chronicles of narnia, i saw it at target the other day, 30 bucks for all the books. then i saw that the lion , the witch and the wardrobe was 19.99 by itself  it was a special edition , i guess to celebrate the film, but if you could spend about 10 more dollars to get all the series' books, wouldnt that be a better deal? meh.

i've read all the harry potter books so far (though i'm hardly any fanatic), and that last one was exceptionally good. (especially the end, which many fans found controversal.) i can't wait till the seventh and final installment comes out.

i've also been reading a manga (i know, that doesnt count , but still :D) called "Death Note", which may be my favorite manga ever. (which makes sense since Takeshi Obata is the artist.) i even spoiled myself, by reading a summary in wikipedia, ruining the rest of the story, yet making want to buy them all just to see how it happens! (NA only has the first three volumes...) i made a thread on this before, it's in the "Entertainment Domain" section.

actually , this could count as that, do you want me to move it , Tiny Bronco? the off topic area has alot of topics, so it may be better there. but it's all up to you of course :D

zero them dark tower books are awesome aren't they. Has all the ingredients of an rpg these books do.

i've read the first few up to wizard and glass which is more of a flashback into rolands past.

Stephen king only recently completed the dark tower series, i need some time to get round to reading em all.

Another thing is if you've read alot of stephen kings books you'll notice that the odd character will show up from the dark tower series in some of his other books. I'm not talking about main characters from the dark tower series, i'm on about characters with small parts in the story.

I like basically anything by Stephen King, because he ties some of the same characters into different books, and makes witty references of them.

I've also read all of the Harry Potter books, and the last one was great.

:]

Am reading the Bible nao, and while it's one of the best books I've ever read, it doesn't have the horror/suspense I crave, since it has no spoilers.. ;]

So, anyone got any good suggestions for a mystery/horror book?
