I agree the ALL materia is the best and comes in handy but the final attack is cool too.

Also Knights of the round helps kill Ruby and Emerald weapons.

Limit Break/Counter/Mime can take them out longer than the 50-day lightshow that is KOR. I used them on my first time, but there are alot of things that can take them out alot faster than that.

my favorite is the extra exp materia (is that what it was called?) that along with killing the "gimme elixer" pots is THE ULTIMATE WAY to lvl up heh heh heh

You can turn of the summon cutscenes under options im pretty sure... or meybe that was in 10.

I have all 24, took a long time but it paid off. You can get some really good moves you know
