Two down... 6 billion to go.

Wao! I've had a rough month. Yesterday, (Friday) I attended not one, but TWO wakes/visitations. My summertime boss (hotdog/ice cream vendor) passed away Apr 7th from stomach cancer and lung disease, and I also found out (Friday as well) that another wake was going to take place from one of my school m8's from H.S. who was (according to rumor) beaten to death. XO ;_;

My m8 from H.S. was a few years older than I. He was...how should I put it - a big mother trucker. 6'6" close to 300lbs, he wasn't anyone you would want to run into in a dark alley. He was often a jerk to me and high-and-mighty...but I can remember times when he was nice and stood up for me too. (I got picked on a lot in H.S. >.< I made my peace about the whole mess before he died - so I feel ok about it.

Meh boss was 1337...like a father to me. I hadn't seen him for about 6 months, and my one regret is that I didn't get to see him one last time before he passed. I miss him! T_T He was an arse to people who were pricks...but if you were lucky enough to be called a 'friend' - as I was - he showed a completely different side. Always quick to lend advice - and correct you if you were being stupid xD ... he was...unique. I'll never forget him.

This was on his card:
You are not forgotten, loved one.
Nor will you ever be.
As long as life and memory last
We will remember thee.
We miss you now.
Our hearts are sore.
As time goes by
We'll miss you more.
Your loving smile, your gentle face,
No one can fill your vacant place.

In loving memory of Robert Caesar Beatty - "Bob the Ice Cream Man" 5/1/30 - 4/7/07 <3

My heart goes out to everyone who's lost a loved one. May God heal your heart as you bring your pain to Him.

~ John ~

Aww...John... X_x;

I want to come out of the cloest now too!

As I said before, I'm sorry for your loss. I wish I could remember the words I said. Time to go dig up my MSN history!

Seriously though, thank you. For everything. Even letting out your problems lets others know that there are people like them, suffering through hard times. And you're a man of God, correct? If anything, you can get out of any problem. If you can, then we sure can too.

Sorry for your two losses, again. You'll get by. ^^;

I'm really sorry to hear that, John. :( Dang. At this time, I consider myself very content not to have witnessed many deaths of close loved-ones, and I know it hurts a lot. But rest assured, take your time for grief, so that you can surely go on and continue the life you still got going on. =)

I'm going to say something cheesy here, but anyway--I'm really sorry for your loss. I hope that whatever you believe in will help guide you throught this pain, and any other painful times that you may have.

Well its seems that this post was made awhile ago..but its never to late to say sorry. That is pretty intense John. And I am lucky enough not to have many people that are close to me die. But since its been awhile since this thread was made....how did you make out? Does it still like really bother you to talk about it? Its made you stronger?

Death is most scary, I wonder if elderly people are afraid of it, what they think as they lie there? I had a friend from work, she was about 19, three years older than me, and she was a gorgeous girl, a pagan and was really friendly. She was like an older mentor and I always liked her. I wasn't the most social youth and I remember she said to a couple of guys who were kinda joking around about how young i looked, she said "If he were a couple years older I would date him" and they just kinda looked at her jealous and walked away. I'll never forget that exact moment, these four years later. She died in a carcrash and just seein her in that casket sent chills, it felt like itw asn't real, I was surprisingly calm. Then my grandpa died and i really didn't nkow him, I cried at his funeral and I couldn't figure out why? I couldn't remember the last time I talked to him, but then I realized he was always there, though. Always a person that loved you, and I wished I could have spent more time getting to know him. He didn't really know his grandchildren at all : (
