I use Tripod, which allows you to built your very owned web-site from scrach. They also have really nice design sets if you just lazy or don't have the web designing skills. There is also this other site called my free webs

Here is the link to Tripod,

www.tripod.com

As for the other one I really don't know the site address well. These sites help you create a web site for free and you can also upgrade if you want but it would cost you. The same goes for you domine name, you have to pay for one too. But if use Tripod make sure you user name is something that you want you site name to be.

This is mines in honor of M.C The Max,

http://empresscrystal.tripod.com

Also try searching the web for site add on if you creating one. That one reason why mines rock. I might do another one in honer of myself.

Re: your own website

Andrew Scaves, that is a Forum.

www.freewebs.com is also a fairly good, practical and easy webpage creator website.

You can select to making it from scratch, with HTML codes and everything, or use pre-made templates and create and custumize the pages as you like.

The only bad thing is that you have to wait a week to upload more than X MB. It must be some sort of warranty so that people don't start making the websites and leave them unfinished, using up loads of bandwidth for nothing :p That reminds me, I have to update mine XD

I live off of html codes, because of html codes I have a preomote butom for my Yahoo group. I have a mini chat page using cbox, I have mini games, videos, and almost everything. When summer hits I going to create a site just about me and not M.C The Max.

Re: your own website

We currently only have a forum, but not a website. We won't have a website until we have a title almost to complete since we can't really display content.

I almost am working on a side project that I hope to have a very large community, and I hope for it to eventually be a a small gaia sort of thing.

I have a paid for website that, at the moment, only has a forum on it. I hope to put a proper site up connected to the forums eventually.

Did it the hard way and got my own domain, then paid for hosting because I wanted to learn how to put up and run a website properly. Also didn't want it packed with the unwanted ads that free providers insist on forcing their users to put up with.

Re: your own website

I did own a website called "Gamerz Planet" at the url 'www.gamerzplanet.co.uk', and it was hosted at Fasthost.com.
I eventually closed it because someone hacked my files and deleted half of them, I didn't make a recent backup at the time so tons of things were lost, I didn't really attempt to redo the things that were lost, either. Damn hackers, I hate them. >_>

Mines is through my company for marketing - it's in my profile and I don't want to illicit extreme sexua...... I mean market my companies products here - so I won't post the link. Its all managed by the company and is similar to an online store. I can sell, promote, train associates, find neighborhood or national meetings, etc. all for $20/mo. Oh I also get a magazine/DVD each month for training as well.
= o

Re: your own website

Tripod really better then I thought.

You can have a really great website like one of those paid sites you just need to be good at graphics or know someone that can do your graphics. And you can save a lot of disk space & time if you just just html & Javascripts rather then just uploading everything on your site.
