Important - help requested

Hey all!

I wanted some advice...you see, I'm going to be selling ALL my videogames/systems/accessories, etc. DON'T ASK. = P

Soo... I has a 360, PS3, PS2, Gamecube, SNES, NES, Nintendo DS, and an Atari Flashback 2.

Games I has include, but not limited to:

360: Gears of War

PS3: Ridgeracer VII (:p) and Dark Kingdom. Also have 2 Blueray movies: Reign of Fire and Underworld: Revolution.

PS2: Dragon Quest VIII, FFs: X, X: International, XII, X-Men Legends 2, Dynasty Warriors 5,..probably a few others I lent-out to my friend(s.)

Gamecube: The Legend of Zelda: Collector's Edition, Tales of Symphonia, Gladius, Namco Museum, and Goblin Commander

SNES: Super Gameboy, Secret of Evermore, Game Genie, Micro Machines, NBA Jam - Tourn. Ed., Ultimate Mortal Kombat, Killer Instinct, Populous, and Earthworm Jim 2.

DS: FFs: 1-6 and Golden Sun.

Of Special Note: For the PS, I'm also going to be selling FFs 1 & 2, 5 & 6, VII, VIII, IX, and two copies of Tactics.

NES: Dragon Warrior IV

So, finally - here's my question: How should I go about selling these? I'm planning on eBaying everything. But I mean how should I do the bundles?

Obviously, the 360, Atari, Gamecube, SNES, NES and the Atari Flashback are all going to be in their own seperate online auctions w/their respective games....

Now, how about the PS3, PS2 and DS games/systems?

Should I sell ALL of the FFs by themselves, or make it one, huge, GIGANTIC auction and label it 'ULTRA-RARE' ? Here are my thoughts:

1) Sell the PS3 w/all the 'disc' FFs...possibly include in the auction the DS and their respective FFs and sell the PS2 w/the other, non-FF games. This would be a near-complete collection - minus Crisis Core, FF XI, Advent Children, and anything else I could possibly be missing. Sell the other games/movies in seperate auctions.

2) Sell the PS3 w/it's games and 2 Blueray movies I have w/it. Sell the PS2, DS with their respective games both in another, seperate auction.

3) Sell each and everything seperately. The systems w/their games in their own auctions.

4) Any other ideas?!

I appreciate any advice you guys can come up with. Thanks!

Do it separately.

I would buy you some stuff, but I still love the PAL version ;) (and I hate transatlantic incompatibilities)

eBay is a very good option, Any other thing in mind?

I would, at the very least, suggest selling your rarer games separately. Dragon Warrior IV, if it's just the cart by itself, would probably sell pretty easily on ebay at around $50 US. For a complete mint copy of the game (ie with the case, instructions, map and whatever else came with it originally), you could probably sell it for a significantly higher amount. FF VII and Tactics will also sell pretty well as long as they are the original black label copies of the game and have their original casing and instruction manuals included. Beyond that, I'm not sure how rare any of your other games are. Possibly Secret of Evermore but I've never really looked into it and have always been given the impression that wasn't particularly well received.

I would definitely advise against selling all FF games in one package though. Fans of the series won't want it because they probably own one or two of the games your selling and non-fans will probably want to test out a couple of games before dumping a whole load of money on a massive collection like that.

O___O Good points.

Yeah, I knew about DW IV...primarily because I was one of the guys that spend...oh, probably $45 two years ago when I purchased it. SoE is pretty rare - and a pretty kewl game. One of my favorite RPGs from the SNES...but I prolly wouldn't get more that $25 for it. How do you suggest I break-up the FF Games? Sell the DS w/the collection, the PS2 w/the PS ones, and the PS3 w/the PS2 ones?? I think that's where I'm stuck...

Or should I just sell all of em seperate?! That's a lot of processing/eBay fees. XO I dunno ._.;

Thanks for your pointers.

BTW: Luis, you're more than welcome to buy the FF X: International version - I believe it's compatible w/your system. :S Look into it.

Personally, I would just sell everything separately, possibly selling in a few of your more common games with the consoles. If your dead set on selling a few of them together though, you might try grouping all the advance final fantasy games together. There are probably a lot of fans of the series that are still interested in them without actually having bought them and if they can buy them all for less then what it would cost them to buy them all separately they might find it appealing. Of course, I could be wrong.

Also, if Luis' region is PAL then he won't be able to play FFX: International (presuming you mean the Japanese version) without either modding his console or using swap disks. It doesn't make much of a difference anyway, because as far as I know the international version is identical to the PAL version (apart from the language, obviously) anyway.

The only difference (that I know of) is that the PAL version is slower...that, and you can't do the infamous 'new game +' feature - backtracking to the Al Bhed Home when you're at the end of the game...not that too many people are really excited about doing that anyway. :p

I think I see what you're saying about selling everthing seperately - thanks for the advice.

Yeah, he is right. I wouldn't be able to.
PAL is the evolution from NTSC, they both are color encoding systems.. and although PAL refresh system might show that is is lower than NTSC, it has demonstrated superiority in most of the other aspects.

When selling all your stuff separately, you may get much more people interested into it. Like, there could be (for example) one guy who wants one of your FF games, but on the other hand he is not willing to buy Dinasty Warriors.
In other words, if you are willing to sell a basket with fruits and vegetables altogether, but some people dislike vegetables, you won't likely sell it to those who don't like vegetables. Selling it separately, you sell a specific thing to a wider range of people.

0.0! o_o Sorry...could you repeat that? I was too busy drooling over your apparently 1337 marketing skillz. XD

Ha ha, so you're selling all your fun stuff, huh? Who knows, I may buy something....X3

Anyway, I suggest that you bundle your FF's together with your PS3, and sell the DS and its FF's in a separate bundle. Do the same thing with the PS2, with ITS other games. Three separate bundles...I suppose that would sell. But it sounds like T.o.D and Luis know a lot more about selling than I do, so it would be best to listen to them. =P

You could also GIVE me everything <3

j/k

Why don't you keep a few games? I don't know, two or three, at least...

Re: Important - help requested

I support the first two suggestions, yet if you found some leftover unimportant games, make an offer on the lot of them together since they won't bring much income separately and won't be as easy to sell as well

Yes I would sell them seperate, it will cost money for each one though so you have to include that. However, I wouldn't want to buy a bundle of them

people have already touched on this a bit but i'll add my bit.

Sell everything separately including all the cables separately, you'd be surprised who is willing to buy stuff like that etc.

You lose out on money if you bundle stuff together.

My mate sells everything separately and he makes money so i advise to do it like that.
