this is a holystar video of genji (same guy who beat ozma with a level one party on the russian ff IX, and beat emerald with a level 7 tifa) beating emerald weapon with a level 99 cloud, materia-less. it's pretty amazing if you ask me.

(also, he did it on the pc version...)

Holy cow that would be hard to kill Emerald without materia. The first time I fought Ruby I used Omni-Slash on him. It does only like 500 damage for each hit. Then I lost. :D

Well I just beat emerald with only using 4x cut and megalixers :D then poor ruby died with the master materias :cool: didnt even have to breed a gold :p

Poor Ruby. I always thought he should be the better of the two. He looks a lot cooler.

I think he IS the better of the two - especially at lower levels, he requires more strategy. But Emerald puts up a better fight @ lvl 99 IMO.
