Heh, I was just going to recommend giving them Osmose if at all possible before they kick the bucket, although I think you have to wait until Mysidia to purchase it.

The rates were fixed in the GBA version, which the PSP version is heavily based upon (sans the graphical and audio upgrade, of course).

It's a pretty infamous bug in the original, WSC, and PS1 versions of FFII, if you targetted an enemy or ally with an attack or spell, then cancelled the action of the next character in line, you...

The cancel bug was removed from the DoS version, however, stats and magic are much easier to level up in that version to compensate.
