That's very true. I suppose I would equate a Braska prequel to the first episodes of Star Wars with the life of Aniken. You already know what will happen in the end, but people watch it happen...

Yeah. I found it was hard to tell in most of the game itself except for some of the cutscene movies where they do a close-up of her face.

I voted for FFX. I may like it more because it's the first FF I've played and beaten, but after playing all of the others I'd say FFX is still on top, with FF6+FF7 close behind.
