Well, everyone has their own idea of what an RPG is. I always thought that RPGs were defined by you controlling a character that progressed through levels of some sort, and had different equipment, abilities, etc.
But I've never played VS, so..
Max the Man has played it, and he entered it in the RPG Journal, so I guess it'd be an RPG.
