Not true at my old high school.. there everyone had e-mail addresses as far as I know, heck, we were all given e-mail accounts in grade school already (although everyone used hotmail or similar eventually anyway) but maybe we're more computer-integrated in Sweden, I don't know?
Then again, we don't have the same "nerds-and-cool-ppl" division-mentality over here. I haven't seen any of it here to be honest, only on TV in American TV-series and college movies
