Well, a character named Gilgamesh also appeared in (as far as i know) in FFIII, FFV and indeed FFVIII(= replacing Odin). But the Gilgamesh of FFIX, well, it also shares the cowardness of the other ones, but doesn't show much story, as in FFV.
