I'm late to the party but I'll add my two cents: if you haven't done the Fanatics Tower/Cult Of Kefka Tower yet...

when fighting Magimaster (don't think his name is differnet in the GBA version, he's the boss you must fight after getting a relic at the very top of the tower) MAKE SURE you cast Life 3 on all you party members before the boss's HP gets low. And you might want to consider taking Umaro with you...could cast Beserk on 'im in every battle...
