i think using them urself is a bit of a waste, most bosses are immune to em and normal monsters usually arent worth it. however i do remember fighting that boss in ff6 on top of that magic tower, where u can berserk him xD handy since he's a badass magic user. that coupled with having vanish on yourself and its an easy win
