This game can be played with any beverage of your choosing. I know most of you out there playing FFVIII are not of drinking age…so I have rules for different types of drinks:
Non-caffeinated beverages: Play until you, *ahem*, do the dance
Winner is the last one in the bathroom.
Caffienated beverages: Play until players are literally vibrating and can no longer hold and operate a controller. Last person to be able to see straight is the winner.

Every time a GF reaches 1000 compatibility with a character: Half the beverage
Whenever a new weapon is modified: Two drinks
Whenever the party defeats a Molboro: Four drinks
Whenever Selphie says, "Booyah!", "Booyaka!", or, "Whoo-hoo!": Two drinks
Whenever someone calls Selphie or Quistis "Sefie" or "Quisty", respectively: Three drinks
Whenever Seifer calls Zell a chicken-wuss: Two drinks
Whenever Fujin kicks Raijin: One drink
Every time you defeat Biggs and Wedge: Three drinks
Whenever the rule "Random" is passed: One drink and groan
Whenever a rare card is won: Two drinks
…If you lost a rare card in the process: Three drinks and throw things at the TV
Every time Squall does his hand on forehead 'I do *not* suffer fools gladly' gesture: One drink
Whenever Zell exercises enough self control to keep his big mouth SHUT: Down six-pack
Every time Zell opens his trap and eats foot: One drink
Every time Zell blows up and/or becomes irate in some manner: One drink
Every time Squall insults Laguna: One drink
Every time Laguna is maimed/injured/hurt/bed-ridden: One drink
…If it was his own fault: Two drinks
…If it was a 'genius idea': Three drinks
…If it was in a monster battle: One drink and give him a Phoenix Down, ya fool!
Every time a character knows nothing about fill-in-the-blank art form yet can perform flawlessly: Two drinks
Every time Laguna butchers a metaphor: One drink and supply correct metaphor. Last person to do so must drink entire beverage
Every time Fujin says more than one word: One drink
…If she says more than two words: One drink for each word over one
…If she speaks in lowercase letters: Chug for duration
Every time Raijin says "ya know?": One drink
Every time Squall goes up in SeeD rank: Three drinks

Every time you see a UFO: Five drinks
Every time you find Mr. Monkey: Two drinks
Every time you hear Fithos Lusec Wecos Vinosec: Three drinks
Every time sorceress' powers are transfered: Five drinks
Every time Rinoa expresses interest in Squall: One drink
Whenever Squall expresses interest in Rinoa without insulting her to cover up: Three drinks
Whenever Ellone shows up: Two drinks
Every time a character uses a limit break: One drink
Every time Squall busts out with Lion Heart: Five drinks
...If it's at a very good time, i.e., a boss fight: Chug for duration and say, "That's gonna leave a mark."
...If he wastes it on a Bite Bug: Five drinks and call Squall a moron.
Every time a character gets a Limit: One drink
...If it's Rinoa's Angel, and she casts Scan three times in a row: One drink per magic cast and throw things at screen.
Whenever you see one damage number higher than 9999: Three drinks
