Basically, house of night is somewhat of a high school for vampires.
There are third formers, fourth formers, fifth formers, sixth formers, and Vamps.
Third formers are the freshmen, the newbies.
Fourth formers are Sophmores.
Fifth formers are juniors.
Sixth formers are the seniors.
and Vamps are what you call the professors of the school.

The kewl thing is, there are no fledgings at the house of night that will misbehave.
Because of some changes of the vampire thang, adult vampires have intuitive powers to a certain strength.
