Not true! in the last 20 or so ff games ive played, i have tried to not use cure, cura, or curaga at any point, and i succeeded in FF IX by using blk magic on my own characters(usually firaga) while they were equipped with armor or accesories that absorb fire, and because blk magic is supposed to cause big damage, it heals for alot
