i didn't know that...i would have prefered it on n64 for the graphics...although n64 can't hold MCCG pics...do you know why it wasn't going well?

FF7 would be impossible to make for N64 as it is now. The game spans 3 CDs, and it's about 2000 MB in total. There is no way in hell that would fit on an N64 cassette. I'm not sure if even 200 MB would fit on an N64 cassette. So the game would have to be a lot different to be made for N64.. probably without all the pre-rendered movies and maybe other things too.

I heard a long long time ago that the reason they changed to PS1 was that the CD technology offered much more storage room than those crappy cassettes.

ohhh that explains a lot...so basically it's much better that it was never on n64. Oh well i don't play either now apart from that for some reason my ps2 stopped letting me play on ps1 games otherwise i would play a lot more ff7 but i have to set up the ps1 and all that malarki

Before VII ALL Final Fantasy was on Nintendo systems. Square saw that the benefits of switching to CD format and jumped ship on Nintendo. I never heard of the FF7 demo for N64 though. That has to be worth a pretty penny. And some ugly ones too.
