Since I haven't played FF8 I can't say it is the best. For now FF7.

i would like ff7, cept they killed off aeris... which made me mad... cause i wanted to play the game on my own, so no one told me she died... =(, so, i think ff8 beats ff7... plus i dont like the whole... earth healing itself and absorbing energy... seemed too fictional... ff8 was obviously fictional, but not crazy. and ff9 is too cartoonish for me... so... yeah... ff8 pwns

so u go in bad mood when u hear that abaut Aries it was bad for me to but but u go over that and u move out , so for me is FF VIII i love that game jus coz of enemi they ar so strong and i love that , like my party gos up, my enemi gos up i like that staf.

ffviii is my favorite too even though aeris dyin in ffvii was probably the best moment in ff history to me. of course i'm not sayin that because i didnt like her next to cloud she was my favorite character and i loved her character just as much as the next ff fanatic, but her death was very significant to the game i think. i really think that sephiroth kinda screwed his self cause at the ending when holy was having the opposite effect on meteor it was aeris's conscienceness that saved them all in the end. but the music and cutscene when she died was just perfect though and cloud letting her body drift in the water. but the story between her dyin and the end was really muddled to me. ffviii was good from beginning to end and the junction system is better to me also than the materia you use in ffvii because you can junction all the magic you draw from enemies or drawpoints and be really strong really early in the game.

To me, the story only picked up for the later parts of the game (Squall and Rinoa getting closer, the orphans finding out the truth, going to Esthar, Time Compression, and so on.) I just thought the beginning was really slow. Although we all got our psychadelic metaphysical final battle, so I guess it's all good in the end.

They could've made leveling up not such a joke though. xD

At first i didn't like FFVIII that much (besides getting used to the junction system); i played it after FFIX, and the difference between those games is, well, quite huge: the style is very different (FFIX characters are manga-like), and the world is, well, really Fantasy

. FFVIII characters and the world in time and place looked to serious and sci-fi to me.

But that's the first time i've played it. Second time i really enjoyed it. ^^

The ff 8 is more realistick then ff 9 coz ff 9 is more magical world the ff 8 i think that ff 8 standing more on the graund then ff 9.

I played FFVIII right after FFIX, so yeah, the difference i found personally to huge: the difficulty level, the whole ability-learning system, and the entire athmosphere, really

All the Final Fantasy games have technology in them, FFVIII just had alot more modern stuff in it. I just really wish the whole customization system wasn't so abusable. Ah well...
