I think they had something going. Also, I play the games largely in part for the story. Not for running around killing things. There are other barbaric games for that. Even with my limited experience, I think that Cloud and Tifa could have evolved their friendship.

another part in the story if you didnt treat aries with the best and took tifa everywhere with you instead of aries then the second time your at the gold saucer you go with tifa to the gondola and then she sais that she has something to tell him and she said that aries would say it right out so i would think that she said "i love you"
and at the begining of the game of course the whole i will save you bit with cloud and tifa

^ Yeah I agree.. I remember wanting them to fall in love and all when I first played the game. But I guess it was alright anyway heh.

Man! This is a great thread! I'm sorry I haven't seen it till now. It's definitely obvious that Tifa has feelings for Cloud - even in the beginning when they are on the Train for the first time together. Tifa asks Cloud to review the diagram of the Midgar railway with her and, when she realized he's seen it already she says "That's okay, come a little closer" Of couse some of the other's fans comments really add up to show that she definitely has feelings towards him. I heard that if you keep Tifa in your party 100% of the time (that she's available) and Cloud heals her every time she's hurt/ko'ed, and say all the right one-liners during the game that @ the end of Disc 2 Tifa says something a little more blatant. Any takers???

Personally, I always liked tifa, but I thought that Cloud really liked/loved Aerith and couldn't really show it in time. Does anyone know in A.C. who's child Denzel is - or if he's a certain couples??? I heard he looks like Cloud...hmm.

Tifa and cloud would be perfect together. Its obvious that tifa has feelings for cloud. But Cloud is so quiet and uptight, you never really know whats going on in his head. And according to one of the directors of AC, the plot was based around Cloud and tifa "Being Together".

in FF7AC you can definatly tell that Cloud has strong feelings for Tifa after she fights the guy with the punchy thing

What do you think about the part when marlene asks cloud if he loves aeris, and she says immediatily she won't tell anything to Tifa?

I also believe Tifa and Cloud get together, even though I think Cloud/Aeris would make a better couple. Really, its pretty obvious. (Disc 2 scene, close friendship, etc.) Even more so with the Novellas and Advent Children. (Which, as it seemed to me, they were together.)

Still, it really is up to interpretation to the individual player.
