I had no problem beating any of the seymour battles until I got to Seymour Flux, Mortiorchis. It was the hardest seymour battle. I would have expected more of a challange from Seymour Omnis. Also, Yunalesca was quite a challange too. :( So tell me which was the hardest. :D

To me, Yunalesca was easy, as well as Seymour Flux.

It might had took me a few times to beat them, but it was easy to me. :D

They were all easy. I beat them on my first try, all three times through the game.
Well, I expected Flux to be a challenge so I got Holy and Reflect right before him.

I really didn't used holy until I got to sin.

Holy, at Flux? You're a trooper, Sagensyg. :p Granted, it makes everything much easier, but it's near the end of Yuna's grid, if I recall.

And a bit after that, Holy makes Yunalesca look stupid also.

against seymour flux first time i had 2400 hp with tidus and the rest had under 200 which was hard but i maneged in the end.
Sancturay keeper with that much hp was much harder.
I had to drain his mp to stop him using curaga i used osmose ftw.
2nd time flux got wrecked i had 7000 hp with auron (kept fighting cateurs in the desert and ihad 6000 hp with the rest ^_^

I actually found the original Seymour more challenging. As by the time I got to Seymour Flux, my stats were pretty high so I didn't have much problem with beating him.

yea i found the 'Normal' ^^ Seymour much more challenging than the other two forms, for 2 reasons higher stats and better aeons ;)

Indeed. =) I guess Seymour Flux would've normally been one of the tougher mandatory bosses I'ld encounter in Final Fantasy X.

Holy IS the end of Yuna's grid :p

But it's not that hard if you are capturing as you go along and overkilling EV-ER-Y-THING! I was done with everyone's grid before Flux. Thank God for Behemoths and ugly dark flans!

all are easy but the hardest was the third one

hmmm the 2nd and 3rd battles were no problem for me,. aeons overdrives + party's overdrive= dead any thing :D

i found the 3rd one difficult first play but after tht it was easy coz i had better stats and things and actually understood where i could get certain items to help with the sphere grid. like the lvl 4 key spheres and white/black magic spheres

I found Seymour Flux the hardest, I really wasn't prepared for that battle at all.
The other Seymour battles were really easy in my opinion especially the Mt. Gagazet battle.

Mega Flare

i always found seymour Flux the hardest of the lot due to total annilation, other than tht they were all easy.

Kat
08-26-2006, 04:13 PM
i still think the first one was the hardest because it took more strategy to kill him and his guards, not to mention you dont have as strong of aeons as you do later in the game.

necron
08-26-2006, 04:41 PM
seymour flux mortiorchis on mt. gagazet was definately the hardest seymour battle. I was highly disappointed at how easy his final battle was though. they just handed that one to you. But don't get me started on handing battles to you; I have never been more ed as when i played the final battle of the game. You could not die? WTF was that about. I spent so much time leveling up (as u would in the previous ff titles) and I feel i wasted as crap load of time when i beat the game.

You all seem to have more skills than me I didn't get Yuna's holy until i fought Sin. Well Flux was the hardest was Flux the one with Serymour riding on that yellow thing?

i think the hardest battle was the one on mount Gagazet i got really angry if that boss he kept using his two massive katanas and killed me

I got to seymour flux and was destroyed by the total annihilation the first attempt and then the second time I beat him before he could use total annihilation. After the battle I looked on my spear grid and realised I had forgotten that yuna had already learned holy.

I have noticed some people think that the original seymour battle was harder but I had yuna cast reflect on everybody so all his double spells were damaging himself. The two bodyguards that were protecting him were wiped out with kimahri's overdirve 'stonebreath'.

Me personally I didn't like any of the Seymour battles. I thought they were all challenging in there own way you know?

Arcane

i sorta had my own tatics to fight seymour at gagazet, after losing to him a few times. i just used all my aeon's overdrives on him.Made dem full first. it doesnt matter wat hp ur aeon has, 1hp,100hp anything, cuz it'll still be banished later. Anwyay, it killed him straight. den ill just run to the save sphere and dey're healed i think. either way, its easy to use my method.
you might wanna try it. i dunno, it might not work the same as u as our char levels might be diff, or my aeons might be more powerful? i trained quite a bit b4 fighting cuz i got killed quite a few times.

Gackt Camui
03-18-2007, 05:02 PM
Well everybody has pretty much beaten the game...like me, but if i decide to play again I will think about doing that.

dappa
03-19-2007, 11:05 AM
all the seymour battles can be challenging if your party has hurried through the game. But a little levelling can even the things up.

Seymours total annihaltion attack on mt gagazet is classed as a spell, so use shell to reduce the damage from it.

Gackt Camui
03-19-2007, 12:35 PM
Yeah, I don't remember rushing through the game. I didn't have to go back and level up 20 times before I could actually fight him so I did pretty good.

TherathxRikku
10-24-2009, 05:20 AM
I'll tell you which one was the easiest. Omnis. (GRAHHHHH, NO CHALLENGE!!!!)

The toughest for me was the first Seymour. After I kill Anima, he spams Multi-spells..I've figured out the pattern now, so he's a bit easier...

rissole25
10-25-2009, 01:12 AM
I hated Flux. Kept dying all the time and only survived when Tidus had just learnt Energy Rain and used it against him. Then it would be Normal Seymour. God i hated those guards.

TherathxRikku
10-25-2009, 06:29 AM
I find it easiest if you enter with all of your aeons with max Overdrive. Cast Haste on Yuna and just chain summon. :p

rissole25
10-26-2009, 05:56 AM
Thats what i usually do. I love getting Yunas overdrive full and using it on an aeon with its overdrive full.

2 Delta Attacks :D

TherathxRikku
10-26-2009, 11:16 AM
Delta Attack has become useless for me. lol All the Magus Sisters started out doing 99,999 per hit when I got them. lol Actually, the only aeon that would benefit from using an overdrive would be Valefor. :P

Back on topic, though. All the Seymours can be owned with using the Summon method. The first one is the only exception, seeing as you start out with one without an Overdrive and you have to go through three phases...

rissole25
10-27-2009, 04:26 AM
yea i guess. Aeons do start to become damage absorbers late in the game. im just using delta attack as an example though. lol you would only be able to use it for the Seymour Omnis i think.

TherathxRikku
10-27-2009, 08:34 AM
If you have the patience, yeah. Omnis would be like, "wtf?" PWNT!!!

rissole25
10-27-2009, 05:47 PM
Omnis was by far the easiest i reckon. You could always tell what element he was gonna use and which one he was weak against.

TherathxRikku
10-27-2009, 09:19 PM
Not to mention, you can have a kickass party by the time you get to him. :P

rissole25
10-28-2009, 03:41 AM
yea. except my kimarhi was weak against him. In fact everytime i play, kimarhi is the weakest in my party. Maybe cos i don't play him enough. And I don't play him enough cos he has a crap overdrive compared to the others.

TherathxRikku
10-28-2009, 09:33 AM
Kimahri actually becomes pretty useful after you get Doom and Mighty Guard as Overdrives. For me, I used him a lot because you can send him on anyone's grid after you complete his. I usually send him after Tidus because Kimahri is great with plenty of agility and accuracy. His main problem for me is his Celestial Weapon, it has Break DMG Limit, but it only has Counter abilities on it. Useful to some degree, but still not as good as Gillionaire or One MP Cost. :P

rissole25
10-28-2009, 11:01 PM
I only really use him at the start. He's strong then to me.

TherathxRikku
10-29-2009, 12:16 AM
To each his own. :P

rissole25
10-29-2009, 08:18 AM
Lol we better get back on the subject of Seymour.

TherathxRikku
10-31-2009, 02:35 AM
Right.

I just wanna throw this out here, for those that haven't read the guidebook.

Seymour has a spell pattern for EACH battle, he will use the same four spells in a row, making it tons easier to set up your Nul spells. He will start with any of the four spells, but afterward, he will cast them in THIS order.

Blizzard
Thunder
Water
Fire

The same thing goes for his Multi spells. This may not seem like much, but it helps a LOT! It severs the damage percentage by more than half, making a win a certainty.

rissole25
10-31-2009, 09:30 PM
Do you have the guidebook?

TherathxRikku
10-31-2009, 10:00 PM
Yeah. it's a great strategy till Yuna runs out of MP.

rissole25
10-31-2009, 10:02 PM
Who did you mostly have in your party throughout the game?

TherathxRikku
11-01-2009, 06:06 AM
I use everyone in each battle to even out AP. I mostly use Rikku, Tidus and Auron.

rissole25
11-01-2009, 06:57 AM
Thats what i usually do as well. But I mostly have Tidus, Auron and Yuna/Lulu

TherathxRikku
11-01-2009, 06:24 PM
I probably should use Lulu more often, I need a better spellcaster than Rikku.

rissole25
11-02-2009, 04:39 AM
Once Yuna learns a Black Magic, she's better than Lulu at that spell since her Magic is higher than Lu's. But even than I don't really use Yuna for casting Black Magic cos Yuna is my main healer and summoner of course.

TherathxRikku
11-02-2009, 05:05 AM
Rikku's my main everything. lol her magic is currently higher than everyone else's.

rissole25
11-02-2009, 05:11 AM
Yuna's my main. She's the only one who I have got through most of the sphere grid, while the others are where they should be at.

clief101_
11-02-2009, 06:19 AM
ive dun the sphere grid with tidus, almost with yuna. and everyone else is about halfway (rikku about 3/4) but lulu...well thats just a dif story lol

11-02-2009, 06:54 AM
It's fun to watch Auron hit Ahriman's in one shot. lol
