Special Characters...

Okay, Shaggy made this forum so that we could stop arguing over Cloud's worth(lessness) in this game in his X-2 thread. Now then...

I've been working on a list of the worth of special characters. I want to have a discussion over who is better, until we can all (for the most part) agree with their strengths. (Note: The only monsters on here are ones that are one-of-a-kind monsters, so sorry, no Boco.) Here are our current standings:

1. Orlandu (Holy Swordsman, All SwordSkill)
2. Beowulf (Temple Knight, Magic Sword)
3. Ramza (Squire, Guts)
4. Worker 8 (Steel Giant)
5. Agrias (Holy Knight, Holy Sword)
6. Byblos (Byblos)
7. Mustadio (Engineer, Snipe)
8. Reis (Dragoner, Dragon)
9. Meliadoul (Divine Knight, Mighty Sword)
10. Cloud (Soldier, Limit)
11. Rafa (Heaven Knight, Truth)
12. Malak (Hell Knight, Untruth)

Rafa and Malak are at the bottom because their (Un)Truth skills are too random to be very effective. Orlandu's at the top because, hey, he's Orlandu. Nobody's going to argue with a guy with the combined skills of a Holy Knight, a Divine Knight, and a Dark Knight, now are they?

Well, any disputes? Feel free to argue the case for (or against) a character and we'll see what we can change.

I don't exactly remember this entire game so I'm only going to ask you this....why is cloud at 10 when we all know he should be at number 1 (starting at the bottom and moving up) ;)

Heh. I agree with that, except of course for the fact that we still have Rafa and Malak. Their attacks miss more often than they hit, and as most end-game enemies have higher faiths, Malak becomes increasingly useless. Their attacks are too random to justify using them in any battle situation, so they beat Cloud for the very worst slot, albeit barely.

Um... Rafa and Malak aren't twins. I think Malak's like two years older than Rafa, but they definitely aren't twins.

Beowulf was my favorite character in this game.

I'm running through Deep Dungeon right now - Beowulf's Chicken spell has been letting me get all the items and find the exit without enemies harassing me. He's still not as good as Orlandu (as Orlandu decimates everything except the one chicken that Beowulf gets) but he's really good.

Also, I'm bumping Rafa up a slot. Her low brave is helping me get insanely powerful items in DD (a second Excalibur, for instance) so she's not as worthless as she seems.

Also, Mustadio is getting moved up. The guns I've found in DD have made me appreciate just what guns can do, and since his base class is the only one on here that can equip guns...

... I got all the special chars. but I didn't bother to use anyone but Meliadoul, Orlandu, Agrias, and Cloud... (I was obsessed with sword users) that and cloud made a great summoner.

I agree with u tiny not in this game cloud ,smel bad in ff tactics to long when i playd with him he end up deae every time to long to exsecute his abilities not good sori guys, maybe coz of that life stream he foll in it is kind of bad to see him like that.
