A general misconception about FF?

Today, I saw these reviews of FF7 AC
ff7ac reviews and one of them stated that the movie is a total mess concerning the storyline. It says that ac is a movie that does not explain the script efficiently and just leaves a lot for the viewer to figure out himself/herself.

I thought it was common for a non-player of ff7,but then again,it occured to me that this is a plain strategy for many ff titles.
It is my opinion that some things must be ''let for the person to imagine''(e.g. I prefer ffx's ending rather than ffx-2's one)
But in many ffs MANY fundamental for the story events are kept in secrecy.
Is this too much?
For example,look at ff7.
I have spent quite a time in the web trying to figure out the true story behind this game.It really keeps many basic events available only to a few players who would kindly-and with a tremendous amount of patience-spend hours trying to delve deeper into this magnificent and deep game.
What do you think it would be better?Should they be more precise on the story or just follow the good old strategy?

O dear.
They must keep FF7's, and every other FF for that matter, storys' mysterious. They MUST! It makes it so much better when you have dwell on it for hours on end and go through collecting every bit of information to get the whole complete story. If it was out there for the world to see it would be ruined. No official strategy guide or other such stuff tells the entire story. None. You have to think! This makes it good in my opinion.

I truely hope FF7AC doesn't ruin that.

i like this mysteriousness.
Of course I do.
And official guides?pfft.
I never use them.Why follow a guide to end a game?I think it's useless.
Final Fantasy 7 has so many symbolisms that I think only a few people really know what is going on for real...

The idea is that people would have played the game first, then watched the movie. (It is a sequel after all.)

If someone watched it without doing that first, then yes, they'd be pretty lost. :p
