I usually had a weight reducing item on, instead. Speed is essential.

I used Materia to buy myself a window to reload when I really needed it. I still collected the Mako points, though.

I played it for the story and because the battle system was so easy. :D After playing MGS for so long, FPS games are nothing.

Vincent's a minor character, so his story isn't very latching anyhow, however, I enjoyed watching the scenes, the ending was a bit strange, though. Didn't see it coming. lol

Technically you do, but only in the later stages, if you start at an early stage, you have everything you did when you faced that mission.
