Re: Iron Giant: FFIII DS

I'm guessing since you have Wi-Fi access, you have the Onion Knight job, correct?

Either you could use the Kum Kum leveling trick until you're level 90 or so for all characters, then switch to the Onion Knight class to really pump up your stats. The dragons in the cave the Iron Giant is located in drop Onion Equipment, but it's hell to get all sets for each character. ;-;

Or you can just go around and level until you're level 90. The job's stats really kick in when you're level 90 and above.

Taken from Gamefaqs's Onion Knight guide:

Quote:
VI. Onion Equipment

Now, even though the Onion Knight's can equip every item, except the
Job Mastery ones, stated before, they have their own armor. These are
called the Onion Equipment. They are found by slaying Dragons, found
in the ??? Cave, and Crystal Tower. They are very powerful, and are
dangerous to hunt. Here's the Dragon's stats-

-------------------
Yellow Dragon

Level: 50

HP: 79999
Gil: 12000
EXP: 30000
Weakness: None
Att: 107
Def: 40
-------------------
Green Dragon

Level: 60

HP: 89999
Gil: 13330
EXP: 45000
Weakness: None
Att: 129
Def: 45
-------------------
Red Dragon

Level: 70

HP: 99999
Gil: 14666
EXP: 60000
Weakness: None
Att: 150
Def: 50

The easiest to hunt, are Yellow Dragons and the hardest are Red Dragons.
All 3 Dragons drop Onion Swords and Shields (shields).
However, each dragon drops a armor, which are rare.

Yellow Dragons- Onion Helm 4.5%
Green Dragons- Onion 4.5%
Red Dragons- Onion Armor 4.5%

All of them have the to drop Onion Swords and Shields,
at these %'.

Onion Swords- 1.5%
Onion Shield- 8.0%

Here are the armor stats, taken from guide.

Name-Onion Helm

VII. How to Train

Onion Knights are tedious things. They have low stats until level 90+.
This means if you train them from low levels, your HP is going to take
a heavy blow. So the best advice is to use them after your 95+.
Some people tend to use the Black Belt method, with High VIT to
get to 9999 HP.
Let me explain it a bit better. HP gains are determined by VIT.
Melee classes have more Vitality then other classes, meaning they get
Hp every Level up. So Black Belts and Knights gain loads more HP.
But with Onion Knight's low VIT, they suffer low HP , which will
scar you badly during the long run. So be careful, and ONLY use them once
you hit 9999 HP, or your at 95+. Job level doesn't matter,
level does. Once your 95+, and have good HP, go ahead and switch.
Job Level takes of time, because of their low Speed.
But once their speed is up to par, it's a bit easier.
During the 90's, their speed will be godly allowing them to Job Level
at the speed of light. Just do the guard, guard, guard, guard, and kill
with these guys. It's best soloing from what I've heard, but
training them all at once saves time.
So basically, after you're all set with your Onion Knights, I'd set them in the back row (they'd be uber powerful anyway), and just start hacking away at it. I heard it uses Meteor, but I've never faught him myself.
