Well... in every single RPG I play, I always pick pick 3 (or 4, depending on how large parties you have) characters and stick with them the whole game. But I also try to change who I play with between playthroughs, I like to try all or at least most characters out (given that I play through the game enough times to do that). Regardless of what I actually think of the characters' personality. But maybe that's just me
I guess FFX is the one and only exception, I used all characters in that game thanks to the mid-battle character switching ability
