Re: N00b @ FF 2
Huh, I thought you could purchase it in Mysidia. Maybe I'm thinking of Rasp. Eh, I haven't played FFII in eons.

Re: N00b @ FF 2
you can get as many osmoses as you want on this game, they are dropped by the wizards in the mysidian tower near the top of the tower, the same wizards occasionally though rarely show up in the collouseum too.
One spell which rarely shows up is the confuse spell and only the gigas's in the pandaemonium tend to drop them. Oh yeah as for mysidia you can go to it right at the start of the game if you want to. Dont walk on foot as the enemies are too strong. What I do is go and see cid as soon as possible and get him to drop me outside one of the castles. I think its called Kasion, I may be wrong with that name but anyway there is a chocobo forest below this castle. Catch yourself a chocobo and ride it round the world til you reach mysidia, buy all the best items and spells. You are gonna need some cash though, serious cash cause really early in the game your enemies wont drop much gil. I have an easy solution to that problem too guys. What you do is hang around the bottom tip of the landmass round altair and you will fight enemies from mysidia, not the weak goblins from the altair area. This may be a bug I dont know. Most of the time you will come up againgst red and dark flans who are weak against fire and lightning respectively. They can be picked off with a bit of skill using fire and lightning magic, even low level fire and lightning spells. Watch your bank balance grow, though regularly save after each battle because these enemies are ultimately more stronger than you.

Re: N00b @ FF 2
Zero and Dappa are both correct. I thought I read somewhere that you only get one...but I believe that was the one you find in Mysidia - and THAT was according to the SoR FAQ I read at Gamefaqs. However; another FAQ I just read said that it's available at the Mysidia Magic Shop....oh well. -__-;
Oh, BTW Dappa - I knew about the Wizards...but I also knew they were rare. Anyway, now I know better - thanks guys. ...I wish more members would post in the FF forums. ;-;

Re: N00b @ FF 2
Is there any way to learn the 'Dragoons' key term if you missed it back when you talk to Gordon? My friend is trying to get the Excaliber sword but doesn't have the code and doesn't know where he/if he can learn it now...he's just before the Jade Passageway.

Re: N00b @ FF 2
All I did to get excalibur was go to go the castle where there is a mother and child and talk to the mother. Select dragoons and she will give you the excalibur sword and then leave the castle with her son. This only works after gareth has died. I dont recall needing any code or anything like that
But if your already in the jade passage way you can get the masamune blade from pandaemonuim which is alot more stronger.

Re: N00b @ FF 2
I knew about the Masamune, thanks. The problem my friend has is that he can't ask about the Dragoons because he forgot to learn that key term from Gordon (I think.) So the only two people in the town are the mother and son, and neither one says that key work. Therefore, you can't get the Excaliber.
...he's such an amateur XD!

Re: N00b @ FF 2
i usually give excalibur to leon, but if your mate is in pandaemonium by now, the masamune blade will do a much better job than it.
