I never acctually played the game., but I just didn't like the whole idea of it. I also think that FF games should stick to their style of battle, the phase in battle. FF12 is going to have free-range real time battles... BOOURNS.

for online games there is a plot but all people want 2 do is lvl up

the plot is u start of like a small warrior then u move ur way up

WHOA the plot of the game is to get to Rank 10 thats how you really progress thru the story line. the story line goes a bit like this you start and you lvl up and do rank missions...way later on in the rank missions you see what you must do SPOLIER ALERT!!!!! you must defeat the Shadowlord because he has risen again after his defeat 20 years ago.


BTW the server I am on is Garuda and my online line is Zynk (Its my online name for just about everything) and here my jobs and lvls

Yhe RR quests are the story line, I got to Rank 8 and gets pretty intense at that point, I tried to get into the 9th quest but I was still too low,

I havent played this and prolly never will. to much $$. i agree with the ppl who sed that it shouldnt of been numbered, Square just should of named it Final Fantasy Online or something and have XI be a whole new game.

Wut are you talking about? its out for the ps2 and PC and Square Enix is making a shitload of money from being online. seeing as each player pays $12.95 a month. you might want to do your homework before you start talking about things your unaware of.

no there is not an offline version--- it was supose to come out on Xbox but Bill Gates got to greedy and wanted FFXI to be Xbox exclusive and wanted to use Xbox live for it. SE just gave him the finger and came out on PS2 and PC anyway its fun to play online it makes a more interactive game and it is the hardest FF out there in my opinion

The problem with FFXI is the inherent problem with every mmorpg: levelling and making money. It gets beyond boring for hours on end to raise your character to realize that you don't have enough money to get cool gear. I still play it, but I know they're ripping me off.

Its hard of you don't have a good mix in your party, its easier if you have a good mix, and a high level too
