FF3 For DS?

I can't completely verify this, but I believe that the original FF3 (the only one not yet ported to the US) is coming out for DS sooner or later. I don't have a release date, and so far its only being worked on for release in Japan.

The thing is - do you think they'll port it to US in a few years? It's the only one that hasn't been given to America yet. Anyone want to give their speculation on this?

you can already play it if you get an emulator and download the rom, I have already done so, same goes for the original rom for ff1 and ff2 I also own the playstation version for the first two games

It's a mystery to me why they haven't released FF3 other than in Japan yet, while they released FF2 here... IMO FF3 is by far better than FF2 :/

it might have something to do with the fact ff6 is called ff3 over in America because it was the third ff to be released over there and for some reasion they thought that would be a good idea to call it ff3. or maybe it was not believed to be sutiable for our culture? yep its a mystery :P

Well I know the story of original NES/SNES games. I meant the recent releases of FF Anthology and FF Origins for PlayStation.. Origins especially. Why did they include FF2 on Origins rather than FF3? Or why not have them all 3? It's beyond me

No, because then they would never have given us FF2 as part as Origins - they called FF4 FF2 in the US. I think they were holding onto it to keep us from using nuclear weapons on them again.

Japan: Use another bomb and we'll destroy FF3 forever!
USA: ...damn.

EDIT: This was written before the above post, so it was in response to Heaven's.

Are they just putting the FF3 game on the DS card? That seems like using a barrel to hold a can of pop. Is it possible they may place other games on it as well? (such as MQ (which has yet to upgraded to the current generation) or the old GB games?)

Re: FF3 For DS?

hm, i really want them to remake Final Fantasy 3 the way they did for ff1+2 that is the only Final Fantasy that hasnt made a proper debut in Australia, along with the original Tactics! looking forward if it is on DS or something else, either way.

Re: FF3 For DS?

DS is sopposed to be for 3-D games. Why is FF3 coming out on it anyway.
