Re: What is your favorite FF

lol. My off-topic sense is tingling...
I'd like to point out that only 11 people voted for the first FFs as opposed to the 138 voting for the PS1 and later FFs. I'm suprised FFs even got a chance by Square.

Re: What is your favorite FF

It is listed as Final Fantasy II (US) . Final Fantasy 4 was originally released as FF2 in the US (because it was the second FF to be released in the US). Similarly, Final Fantasy 6 was originally released as FF3 in the US. Starting with FF7, they stopped renaming the games though. All this still confuses people to this day..

Re: What is your favorite FF

Poll translation

Final Fantasy (US) = Final Fantasy 1
Final Fantasy II (US) = Final Fantasy 4
Final Fantasy III (US) = Final Fantasy 6
Final Fantasy V (US) = Final Fantasy 5
Final Fantasy VII (US) = Final Fantasy 7
Final Fantasy VIII (US) = Final Fantasy 8
Final Fantasy IX (US) = Final Fantasy 9
Final Fantasy X (US) = Final Fantasy 10
Final Fantasy Tactics (US) = Final Fantasy Tactics
Final Fantasy X-2 (US) = Final Fantasy X-2

Does this help, jedi geoff?

Re: What is your favorite FF

No no. The real FF2 and FF3 are games for the NES, and they are really called Final Fantasy 2 and Final Fantasy 3 (no Legend or Adventure in the name). They were originally only released in Japan, and weren't officially available in the rest of the world until a couple of years ago. Final Fantasy 2 was re-released, together with Final Fantasy 1, as a game called "Final Fantasy Origins" for PlayStation, and also as a game called "Final Fantasy: Dawn of Souls" for Gameboy Advance. The PlayStation game versions are nearly identical with the NES originals, while the GBA versions have been changed a bit. Final Fantasy 3 on the other hand was only released outside Japan late last year for Nintendo DS (with some major changes, especially to the graphics) in the US, and it hasn't been released in Europe yet (*sees your location* and I suppose not Egypt either? I wouldn't know..)

EDIT: The SaGa series and the Mana series have nothing to do with Final Fantasy. The only thing they really have in common is that Square is making them, and they are also RPGs. They may share some gameplay features, but the series are not related. It is just unfortunate that Square decided to put the words "Final Fantasy" in the titles of the first Mana game and the first 3 SaGa games when they released them outside Japan.

Re: What is your favorite FF

yeh, tnx for the clear-out!
jus for the record whenever we want sumthin fast we quickly copy it and import it!
that's coz these games MIGHT be officially released in Egypt in the next decade
so we (the people) take the fast way out!
a little example is that FFXII appeared in egypt almost the exact same time it did in the US! but don't ask me how (all my friends had them)

Well I liked Final Fantasy 8 the best, seeing as to I posted in their forum first on this site.

But something about ff8 makes me like it soo much
Its such a teenage like game, yet so adult.

The battle/junction system was quite splendid
and the graphics werent horrible :/

Definetely a 10star game
