Ultimate Mark and other baddies...{Spoilers}

Ok, so I'm just about done with the Hell Wyrm's 9Million+ HP. I think he has the coolest look to him of any of the bosses or marks I've faced thus far. He's going down without too much of a fuss. The occassional instant-death attack seemed to disappear after the first couple of bars of his life Not too sure why, but I was happy not to have to use all my stash of PDs (Phoenix Downs)

I was curious if anyone else has tried to take down Hell Wyrm, Omega Mark XII, or the ultimate mark, Yaizmat yet??? If so, what strategy(ies) did you employ?

Anyone beat Yaizmat yet???

He was by far the toughest beast I've EVER fought! Now THAT was a challange! I didn't use the Reverse magick for this battle - I went toe-to-toe with the big schmuck! It took me about 4 hours to beat him...

...uh. Anyone?!?

Re: Ultimate Mark and other baddies...{Spoilers}

Maybe someday I'll go and fight all these super-hunts, but I think they really outdid it with Yazmat. I mean, 49,000,000 or some horrible number HP? I don't think spending five hours fighting something like that is the best example of a challenge, although, I hear you can leave the area he's at and come back later to continue the fight, or something.

Still, Gilgamesh is enough for my needs.

Yes! Gilgamesh was a great battle <sigh...>

But...Zero, you have to TRY Yaizmat! He's just so awesome to fight. He uses growing threat and doubles his level to 146!!! Afterwards, he's obviously much, much more difficult. The first 3 hours I went toe-to-toe w/him, but after that...it was basically Smack...heal, heal,...revive...heal...buff...revive...smack...ru n out of the screen and back to the save point cause all but one character is dead and no one has any MP left! He was very fun to beat! XD

Re: Ultimate Mark and other baddies...{Spoilers}

I thought Hell Wyrm had 8.5 million? Eh, not much of a difference when it takes all that long to beat him. It's not a hard battle at all. It's just very boring and long.

Yiazmat, on the other hand, is a pain. A very annoying, infected thorn in your side. XD He always gets me with the Deathstrike and combos. -_-" I've yet to beat it, but I heard that level affects how difficult he is.

I've yet to beat him. I leave and re-enter, and the first move he does is Reflectga. XD That defense increase also strikes my nerves too. I haven't attempted to fight Omega M. XII yet though.

8.5 - 9 million...not much difference if you ask me ~ He still got his tail handed to em

Re: Ultimate Mark and other baddies...{Spoilers}

I R reviving this thread...

;pho

Aha!

I was just thinking that enough time has passed and there are enough of you out there to have more of a conversation w/about marks in general. ESPECIALLY Yazmat and Omega and Hell Wyrm.

T3h reflectga that Yazmat uses when his health gets really low can be countered with t3h item that let's you cast spells through reflect (forgot name) XO

Otherwise you have to cast dispelga, rebuff and hope you survive long enough to hit him a few times... I though of a different approach. Get hit w/reflectga and swap your party so that none of ur active team have reflect on... 0.0 But IDK... It's been a couple of months since I pwn'd him anyway but I am replaying. Currently I'm on lvl 45 w/Ashe, Fran and Penelo - thought I'd use t3h ladies this playthrough... ;whi

Re: Ultimate Mark and other baddies...{Spoilers}

Ok, I defeated Yiazmat again and I have a couple of tips.

1) Lvl 99 = P

2) Zodiak spear, Tournesol, Masamune
- Cat-ear hood, - cat ear hood, - Genji gloves
Dueling hat and two Circlets
Maximillion armor x3

3) Gambit setup:
Ally: Any chronos tear
Ally: Any gold needle
Self: bubble
On each active character have one of: Protectga, Shellga and Hastega (not all three on one!)
One character ---> Ally: HP < 60% - Curaja
One character ---> Ally: HP <40% - Curaja
On all - Foe: HP > 500 (or whatever j00 want) = attack

Clean him up in about two hours.

Note: If you swap-out your active party members when they get hit with Reflectga Yiazmat won't hit your reserve with it. He only does it once each time you enter the arena.

You can defeat him in under an hour O.O!!! But you need 2 or 3 Yagyu Darkblades which is a rare drop from a rare game: Bombshell in the Lacshe Span in Lushu Mines. I didn't feel like going through 2 hours of chaining a rare game monster just to decrease the time I would kill Yiazmat by only one hour.

He's at the Ridorian Cataract. You have to defeat the other 44 marks to open him up. Afterwards, go to your clan hall and accept the hunt and you'll be able to fight him at the coliseum. You have the option of leaving the screen to the nearest save point and back again w/o him regenerating his HPs...just beware! If you stay IN the screen - but in a place where he can't hit you, he'll cast Renew and all your efforts will have been in vain. = X
