Cloud's brief appearance?

has anyone else heard about this? cloud strife is supposed to appear briefly in the game. I was wondering, uh, WHERE?

Yes he did appear in the game. In fact, once you get 10 posts (so you can play the rpg here) you can play as cloud. His class is ex-solider.

Heres how to get him and some other hidden chars taken from Gamefaqs.

Unlocking the secret characters

There are five secret characters that can be attained in the game, six if you count the two forms of Reis. The following list shows how to get them all. NOTE: You must have Mustadio in your party to get all of the secret characters, and all of these characters are aquired in Chapter 4.

Unlockable Characters

Beowulf
Read the rumors at Goland, go to Lesalia, then agree to accompany Beowulf to Goland. After a series of plot battles, he joins the party.

Biblos
Aquired after clearing all ten levels of the Deep Dungeon.

Cloud
After returning Reis to human form, go to Goug. Cloud will run off to Zarghidas after a scene. After clearing Igros, go to Zargidas and win the fight.

Dragon Reis
Accompany Beowulf through Goland Coal City; Reis is rescued during the final battle in the series.

Human Reis
Read the rumors at Zeltennia, buy a flower in Zarghidas, then return to Goug. This unlocks a battle in Zeltennia, and Reis takes human form afterward.

Worker 8
After rescuing Reis from Goland, return to Goug Machine City. Worker 8 joins the party after a small scene.

I heard that he is a playable character in FFTactics for a short period of time. I really should play this game, to know things for sure.

You'll also need the Materia Blade you can find in a proposition involving a volcano (if I remember correctly) to use any of his Limit Breaks.

He is a hidden character...i have him on my save file and he is actually quit helpful.

The only drawback is you have to level him up from lvl 1 which can be a pain sometimes but it isn't that bad. And you have to use move-find and have high jump to find cloud's sword at the top of a volcano or else you can't use his job skill commands (Limit)

Avathar, he is in all reality a character from the time you get him until you go on and complete the game. I have beaten the final battle with him several times.

You also get to briefly see aeris.

Yeah he is really helpful, a couple of his limits do damage depending on how hurt cloud is, so the more hurt he is, the more damage it does. And one of them causes mass status change (Finishing Touch) I think it causes confusion, petrify, silence, son't move, don't act and some others (Not sure about some of trhese so don't snap at me if i'm wrong) If some status effects don't affect the enemy at least one will. It really comes in handy.

Yea cloud is awesome in FF tactics..i need to start playing that one again

Yeah with lots of work (lvling/learning job skills/etc) he actually becomes the strongest character in the party inferior only to orlandu....for me that is anyway. I don't know about you guys.

Cloud sucks IMO.

He takes a while to level, and by the time you get him only optional battles are left anyway. Might as well stick with Agrias. = P
