Hello everyone,

its neeko again, im working on designing a Java football match simulator (text based unfortunately... my potential is limited for a 17 yo ~.~) so u guyz can help me test play it AND have fun at the same time by managing the teams used

i would like it if u play even if u dont know how but anyway I'll explain it as quickly and easily as possible:


Game Features:

• You get to select any team u want in the world to use in a mini FFnet league ^.^
• I send u the team players list with VERY simple status (only attack and deffence.. not a complicated game )
• A - u choose 11 players who u want to use in the match, their formation (ex: 4-4-2; 4-3-3; whatever u want)
• B - u get to customise ur team each match like choosing team captain, free kick taker, corner kicks taker
• C- Train players who wont play in the match to improve their stats
• After taking input (A-B-C) from both members, translating it into Java, I'll simulate the match
• through-out the league i'll keep fixing any bugs with the program before i start making the more complicated factors (ie yellow and red cards, penalties, injuries and so on)
• Meanwhile, u guyz gather as much wins as u can against each other till the league ends and that's pretty much it!

- Time between matches not decided yet, but i bet u'll be more active to try and beat ur fellow ffnetter

Don't worry too much about how to play, u'll get the hang of it in 2/3 matches max.

ok spec, i challenge u to a match

here's what u got to do,

since u already have the team players' list u have to select and PM me...

1- names of the 11 players which u want to use
2- the formation u want to choose (ex: 4-3-3, 4-4-2, 3-5-2 and so on...)
3- choose a team captain, the free kick taker (choose someone with high attack), and the corner kick taker (preferably a weak a player)

since im the program designer, i'll choose a weaker team (FC Toulouse from france)

i've already prepared my team strategy (no worries, i wont change them when i c yours ^.^)

after i get ur PM i'll add ur input and simulate the game (which actually takes 3 seconds or less ) then I'll post the match output

team line-ups, team captains and managers (us ^.^), the score, who scored (if there are goals), ball possesion, shots on goal, and events in the match during minutes

ex:
37' GOAL! A flick by player X [Team 1] beats Goalkeeper [Team 2] to his right and scores the opening goal of the match
67' GOAL![Team 2] Gets a goal back thanks to individual efforts of Player Z [Team 2] who takes advantage of a defence mix-up and equalises the score

Hello ladies and gentelmen and welcome to this great match between Toulouse FC (France) and SL Benfica (Portugal) which proved a big challenge for both Leon and Spec as their respective managers.

Manager Leon has devised a 5-3-2 formation for this game to deny his opponent any opportunities in this game, so we expect he'll be counting on his counter attacks.

Meanwhile, the visting team's manager Spec is using a traditional 4-4-2 plan which works well for attacking and defending at the same time. Let's hope it will be enough for him to make the difference.

The refree gathers both team captains Arribage [Toulouse FC] and Rui Costa [SL Benfica] to shake hands and make the coin toss, only seconds left for this exciting match as the crowds sheer wildly

10' GOAAAAALLLL!!! What a way to start this game. Katsouranis [SL Benfica] gets the ball down well and shoots a screamer from outside the box and puts it in the top corner past helpless Douchez [Toulouse FC]

23' The away side is ahead by a goal, but the home side is still struggling to get a goal back

36' So far it's been a midfield battle with SL Benfica being the more dangerous side.. and the more aggressive one in terms of fouls too

44' So far Toulouse FC is failing to make any chances

45' HALF TIME! The refree blows the whistle to end a good first half of football with SL Benfica having the lead by Katsouranis' [SL Befica] early goal.

45' The second half begins as the crowds start sheering again

50' GOAAAAALLLL!!! He does it again, staying clear of the defence Katsouranis [SL Benfica] takes advantadge of a well played corner and strikes it first time past the defenders and the stunned goalkeeper Douchez [Toulouse FC]. Beware as he might start looking for a hattrick

56' Despite the comfortable 2 goal lead, SL Benfica is waisting much of their shots on goal and are causing many fouls.

67' Another chance waisted from a Toulouse FC counterattack, their chances to please the crowd look very slim at the moment.

75' The game has toned down to a midfield battle full of fouls and defence superriority

87' Good effort by Toulouse FC but Butt [SL Benfica] does enough to stop the ball

90' FULL TIME! The referee ends the match much to the home crowds disappointment, theie side have lost thanks to the brilliant efforts of Katsournis [SL Benfica] who scored 2 goals today.

NOTE: There might be some repeated errors as i've only pasted the output in the reply post and made it a little pruttier with bold and colorz

but that's basically how a match goes, i will shortly add the yellow and red cards feature too and later on injuries and player match performance and grading

+ that was actually a summary of alot of wasted chances and fouls

i would post a full match if asked to.. but not now thought

i think u've done great, so u deserved it ^.^

The difference in a league is that u also get to choose 4 players (1 attacker, 1 midfielder, 1 defence and 1 goal keeper) who aren't playing in the current match so that u can train them and improve their stats.

i jus hope people start coming soon <.<
