Re: Ffi - Ffiv

If you want these final fantasies on emulator for your pc. look on the net for an emulator called "Snes9x" that will let you play ffs 4,5 and 6 and its freeware.

I cant remember the name of the nes emulator you'd need to run the first three games though, but its freeware too.

Look on Rom sites to get the games, though some Rom sites wont host ff games.

Or you could get your hands on the Psone versions of these games and run them on your ps2. Ebay or Amazon is a good place to look for them. Or check out the gamestation stores in the uk who always seem to have a lot of used copies of these games.

Re: Ffi - Ffiv

Yeah, Snes9x is a great emulator. FCEUltra is my NES emulator of choice.

Final Fantasy I and II were released as 'Final Fantasy Origins' on the PlayStation, this game is very cheap and easy to find on Ebay (we're talking 12-20 US dollars).

Final Fantasy III was rereleased on the Nintendo DS, but if you want to play the Famicom version you'll have to emulate it, as with FFI and II. FFII/III may require a translation patch, although most copies you find on the web are already prepatched.

Final Fantasy IV was released in Final Fantasy Chronicles for the PlayStation in North America, and was a part of Final Fantasy Anthology in PAL territories. Final Fantasy V and VI were released as Final Fantasy Anthology in North America, and FFIV and V made PAL's Anthology. Final Fantasy VI was released on its own in PAL territories.

And of course you can also purchase the GBA versions of FFIV-VI, which are all better than the PlayStation releases, and are probably a bit cheaper.

Again...you never fail to amaze me with your swirling non-destructive knowledge of all that is FF.
