FFVII's Cloud Strife...man, or mako?

cloud is just a normal person how isd traped in some illouson to make him think he is a clone oo sephiroth
 
Cloud does have Jenova Cells in him so Jenova through Sephiroth used Cloud somewhat like a "clone." Up to where Aeris was murdered Cloud had basically done exactly what Sephiroth had wanted him to do. (Getting the Black Materia) Then Cloud relized what he had done and went to the Northern Crator to stop Sephiroth, but that didn't work either because Jenova still won control of Cloud's mind. It wasn't until Tifa helped Cloud in the lifestream that Cloud found his past and then was able to mentally stand up to Sephiroth.

cloud is just normal butsephiroth can control him when sephiroth is near by
 
Im now in a part of the game where i pass the Lifestream with Tifa and there after aquire all the Huge materia. I can quite ell much abou Cloud until i pass the game but i cn tell what i know. Cloud is a normal person who grew up i Nibelheim.On the day when he returned with Zack and Sephiroth he was changed by his town in ashes. He killed Sephiroth but not before Sephiroth wounded him. It was that wound and the emotions towards Tifa and hatred toward Sephiroth that made him believe he was in Zacks place. In other words it confused him and made his mind believe that he was part of SOLDIER.

Only one thing... Cloud didn't kill Sephiroth - which should be apparant in the storyline. :)

Also, to respond to Tiny Bronco's post about when Cloud was in the Crater. I think that he flat-out gave up/gave into Sephiroth's will because he was so distraught about being a "Sephiroth clone w/o a number" that he needed identity. There was a certain amount of control over his actions/thoughts by Jenova beforehand, but he just plain didn't care what happened to him or anyone else because of his identity crisis. - MO

I believe when they say reconstrucked Cloud that they don't really mean rebuilt him as you would a robot or something. It's just how they worded it. Cloud wasn't really rebuilt, but more or less enhanced by the Jenova Genes. When they say rebuilt they mean they turned him into what they wanted him to be. Just like any other military, they break you down mentaly, and rebuild you the way they want. Not just in form or shap, but more or less mentaly. So yes in a way he was rebuilt, but not litteraly in a sence. <--- Getting what I am saying so far? He's still Cloud just more inhanced. That is all. Think of when after Tifa helps him find his true self again. It was just a mental thing more or less. They only fisical change was his body become stronger because of the Jenova Genes.
 
Yeah that makes total sense! Poor Cloud...I would love to help him find his true self again...*wink wink*
