Story-wise, I liked Zidane the best. He has energy, and he's always willing to help others. And when he talked to Garnet about his past, he grew even more as a character. Towards the end, I thought he was better than the other heroes.
Game-wise, Garnet was the most useful (because of her summons and white magic

Freya's cool but not my favorite one
I like it when she goes into trance and stays in the air for several turns. Even funnier when you defeat an enemy while she is in the air and when the battle is over she still dont come down.
