Which Cid is the best?

[Avathar]

'cause there are many :

(Final Fantasy 1....: Cid was the ancient leader of the Lufenian race.)

Final Fantasy 2: the freelance airship pilot

Final Fantasy 3: Cid Haze, involved with a curse and his airship

Final Fantasy 4: Cid Pollendina, chief engineer

Final Fantasy 5: Cid Previa, elderly inventor and scholar

Final Fantasy 6: Cid del Norte Marguez: chief researcher of the Empire

Final Fantasy 7: Cid Highwind: a pilot and an inventor

Final Fantasy 8: Cid Kramer: the headmaster of Balamb Garden

Final Fantasy 9: Cid Fabool IX: regent of Lindblum

Final Fantasy 10: the leader of the Al Bhed Tribe

Final Fantasy 11: a lab owner

Final Fantasy Tactics: Cidolfas Orlandu: the general of Ivalice

Final Fantasy Tactics Advance: Cid Randell: (later) supreme Judgemaster

Voila , the choice is yours (there's a max. of choices?! oh well )

[Zeromus_X]

well, actually , in the ff1 on nes, there isnt a cid, but they put the lufenian part in origins and later remakes. (well, you probably knew that since you didnt put it in the poll...meh.)

what a choice. ffIII's cid is the coolest. (amano!!mm...amano... ) where did you find the amano artwork, avathar?

i like to look at the cids like this:

ffII: biker cid
ffIII:cool cid
ffIV:wild cid
ffv: hippie cid
ffvi: raincoat cid
ffvii: redneck cid
ffviii: professor/headmaster cid
ffix:womanizing prime minister cid
ffx:elder cid

my friends and i always make fun of the cids like this.

and, ffvs cid is probably the most helpful cid. (c'mon, he helps you every other event in the first world!)

fft's cid kicks the most ass, hes a godlike cid!!

and, i think there was a cid in the movie "the spirits within", which ive never seen , but everyone seems to hate it.

gaaah, i just cant decide!!! so many cids!!

[Avathar]

(From FFT and FFTA):

[Avathar]

...since i can only put 10 answers in the poll, i've limited it from II to XI. yes, there's also a Cid in Fantasy Tactics, and Tactics Advance, but... i went with these ten
And the other Cid's:

- From the movie Spirits Within: Dr. Sid, who discovers the energy in both Phantoms and Humans.
- From the animé Final Fantasy: Unlimited: Cid, the eccentric inventor
- From Kingdom Hearts: this Cid is based on the one from FFVII
- In Chocobo's Mysterious Adventure 2: Cid, the outcast inventor

...oh yeah, the other 5 pics

Final Fantasy VII

Final Fantasy VIII

Final Fantasy IX

Final Fantasy X and X-2

Final Fantasy XI

...what's the max.pics i can post?

[Phoenix Flame]

Cid from VII is my fav - is he the only character named Cid that you can actually control?

[ShadowHeart]

No, you can control Cid in FFIV too if I remember correctly.

[Anikin]

My favourite Cid is from Final fantasy IX. He does so much for everyone no matter what form he is.

[Avathar]

Can't you control the Cids in both Final Fantasy Tactics?

And i went with Cid from FF6. His development through the story...remarkable

[Zeromus_X]

No, you can control Cid in FFIV too if I remember correctly.

yup, and in the gba, you can use him in your party again. (same with gilbert, yang, polom, and porom, they all have new weapons and armor in a secret bonus dungeon!)

the cid in chocobo dungeon looks like the one from ff4, doesnt he?

[Phoenix Flame]

Wow! I didn't guess I'd get this much response to an insignificant question...Thanks.

<shrugs shoulders coyly>

[Zeromus_X]

cant you control fft's cid too? hes called orlandu or something. he seems to be a mighty powerful charactrer, from what ive heard.

Orlandu was the Cid in FFT??? It HAS been a while, maybe I just don't remember that. But yes, he was a pretty powerful character.

[Raven]

I like Cid from X and X-2!
It's pretty weird that there is a Cid in every game, lol.

[Phoenix Flame]

Is he the only character that has a part in just about every FF??? Next will be O'aka from X & X-2...that guy was kinda cool!

[ShadowHeart]

Bahamut is in every FF too as far as I know.. well I don't know about the Tactics games and Crystal Chronicles.. but he's in all the main series games.

[Lyde Lyde]

Is it just me or does the Cid from VIII looks like Robin Williams?

[ShadowHeart]

Yeah, I thought so too.

[Avathar]

...omg, that picture does look like Robin Williams

[Avathar]

........(thinking about other characters)...........................

.......uhm,....oh, OH: BIGGS AND WEDGE! Don't they almost appear in every FF?

[Zeromus_X]

biggs/wedge first appeared in ff6. they were imperial soldiers who were escorting tina in the beginning of the game. in ff7, they were AVALANCHE members. in ff8, they were galbadian soldiers.

yes, its a star wars reference. ff8 has the most star wars named characters, besides biggs and wedge, nida, a SEED , and pilot ; and piet, the dude who runs the space station . (its been a while since i last played ff8..)

id say square likes star wars ^^;;

edit: im not sure if bahamut was in ff2, i know dragons were in that one, but not a bahamut. meh.
