why is FFIII so hard

this game is the hardest i've ever played.out of all the games i've played this is the hardest.everytime i beat the part i was stuck on there's a part even harder.i can't stop playing though.anybody else think this game is hard or at least challenging

It's not so much that FFIII is hard as it is the later FF games were mind-nimbingly easy.

Just level up a lot. That should do it.

Yes, it's an older game, and it much less forgiving than the later games in the series.

Leveling up will help, as well as knowing what classes to use and when (which should be indicated by what NPCs tell you and equipment and spells you find). Also, you will have to use your brain during some fights, as well as in figuring out what to do next; as an older game, it doesn't just outright give you information on where to go. You have to listen to what NPCs and other characters say about the world, etc.

Unless you've completed it already, then the last two dungeons are VERY unforgiving.

Bosses can attack multiple times, some bosses seemed to have more stats, etc. I also don't remember having my entire party getting hit by LIGHTING and dying instantly in the Temple of Time in the Famicom version.

I am playing the nes version and what I've seen so far of the game can be pretty unforgiving.

Difficulty spikes, a few bosses, the last two dungeons, no real ways to obtain the unlockables (besides Wi-Fi. XD), and the Iron Giant.

Believe you me, you don't want to mess with him. The ??? dungeon is good for Onion equipment though.

It isn't that hard, I still think the original FFIV is harder.
The only thing I think hard about it is; if you die on Cloud of Darkness you have to restart the whole final dungeon again because there's no save-point. Save-points aren't really an issue in the other dungeons though, the rest are pretty short.

Edit: I forgot to say Iron-Giant is a hard boss.
