Aeris or Aerith?

[dirge_of_sephiroth]

Which name do you call the lovely Miss Gainsburough?

[Zeromus_X]

Aerith, as it's Square's official name. And I think it sounds prettier anyway.

[Avathar]

I named her 'Easy'.

[Spec Highwind]

I use Aeris... because it is the European name

[Avathar]

And yeah, I use Aeris, of course; very few use Aerith, although it's the original version.

[Slider]

Aerith

[Kat]

Aerith,i think its prettier sounding

Many people use both names.

Though I don't understand why people call her 'Aeries'. Is that her name in another language version?

[Griever]

They may simply be misspelling it.

I use Aeris most of the time. Just because it's her default name. I think iv'e named her Aerith one time.

[Kat]

yea i do see alot of people spelling it like that but who knows why ,lol

[Zeon]

whenever i start a file and get to naming her its always aerith by defualt. until bout couple years bck when i went to japan and got most of the games in japanese id never even seen it as aeris. i think tht the language version idea is most likely the option. but who knows really.......might be different coding in the games? never know might even be randomly between the 2 for each game?

[Aulayna]

I think it was a translation error which caused it change in the name. I think that what I read but It may have been something else entierly.

[Zeon]

oh right fair enuf then...........makes sence i guess. thanks for clearing tht up for me

[Aulayna]

No problem. Happy to help!

[Zeromus_X]

Yes, without getting into detail, that's basically it.

But we can forgive them, given

[Seyluv]

Well in the game I named her after me, because she reminds me of my good side. But I prefer the name Aerith over Aerith.

[Avathar]

LOL! xD

[Azrael Fiachra]

I named her Aeris and only found out about the other name later... I like Aeris better anyway...

[dappa]

I never knew there was another way of spelling it. I just left the default name aeris as it was.

[Phoenix Flame]

Didn't either till I came to the forums...oh well. Looks like we are in the same boat.
